Walkies Weather

Raining Dogs is back but with a new name, Walkies Weather! I've updated and changed a lot.

The app now uses your device to store your data and syncs it via iCloud, this means there is no need to sign up or sign in and all of your data stays in your control.

There has been a lot of other changes to that make the app quicker, easier to use, nicer to look at and more accurate in it's recommendations.

Another small update but a nice one. In this update we have made the Raining Dogs widget a little more beautiful by making it’s background colour change based on if it is raining, day time, or night time. We think it looks a lot nicer when next to some of the Apple Widgets and other popular widgets.

Fixed a bug where the subscription view would show you had a yearly subscription when you have a monthly subscription.

Nothing fancy, just iOS15 support.

A massive thank you to everyone who has subscribed to the new Raining Dogs, it means so much to me and really helps, I hope you're all enjoying it!

In this update we add a little coat icon to each dog that you can tap to say if that dog is wearing a coat or not and your weather information will be updated accordingly. This only works for dogs who are not used to the cold because if your dog is used to the cold then I'm assuming it doesn't need a coat.

BUG FIX: If the temperature was on a point value (e.g. 7.5) the app would give improper information, this has now been fixed.

A HUGE update!

We've changed our name to something snappier... we used to be "Walkies Weather" but now we're "Raining Dogs" and we even have a new logo to go with it.

With our new name we have made the app look a lot nicer and work a lot smoother and it's now available for iPad. Your dog's information is now displayed very clearly with the important parts highlighted and we've tweaked our algorithm a little to make our guides even more accurate.

We've added a subscription that adds more features:
- Widgets - View if it's safe for walkies with your dog right from your device's home screen
- Hourly weather
- Daily weather
- More Locations - View the weather for other locations so you can check if it's okay at the park before you go
- Backup & sync - Create and account and view your data across devices
- Floor temperature warnings - Make sure the floor isn't too hot for your dog's paws.
- And in the future we will be adding nearby storm warnings.

We hope you think the subscription is worth it. We had to put these features behind a subscription because ultimately it costs us more on our side to provide them.

You can also change your app icon without having a subscription.

Finally, we're sorry but you may lose the dogs you have added when updating but luckily it's very quick to add them again. This is due to a change we have made to support Widgets and it won't happen again!

**Introducing Walkies Weather 2.0**
This update includes a few things you've been requesting and sets up the foundations for us to add a few more things in the future.

*Add more than one dog*
The biggest feature request by far was the ability to add more than one dog to the app, and now you can. The app will tell you the safety rating for each of your dogs.

*Water and shade remembering*
The app will remember what you last selected for water and shade.

*Dark mode*
It's been almost a year since dark mode was released for the iPhone so it's about time!

*Support for large text sizes*
If you like to have your iPhone's text sizes set to be larger than standard our app now supports this and will make it's text larger too. On the flip side if you like to have your text smaller our app also supports that too.

We've made some little adjustments here and there to make the app that little bit more pretty. We've also got a new app icon that aligns with our sibling app Walkies.

We have tuned up the looks of Walkies Weather a little and made some small fixes behind the scenes.

It's been especially hot in the UK at the moment and hopefully Walkies Weather is helping you know when to take your doggos out for a walk and when to keep them inside. However, if you think we can do more than please do get in contact with us.

So we have made a few fixes in this version (that actually make the app work how it is supposed to):
• We fixed a bug where toggling the shade and water switches didn't work. Now when you turn either of them on the app will give you advice taking into account that your doggo has access to shade or water.
• We fixed a bug where the email address we provided you didn't actually work - hopefully we will get a lot more feedback now!
• We fixed a bug where when the temperature was over 43 degrees centigrade it caused the app to not show the correct advise.
• We fixed a whole load more bugs - give us a break... we made the app in Winter.

*Most importantly we have been looking at all of the dog and weather data over the past few weeks and we have been tweaking our algorithm to make our advice even better!*

A huge thanks to all of our early adopters! In this update we have fixed a bug where a small number of people couldn't get their weather to load. This was because the app couldn't get your location, it should be able to now. Importantly we have added a "Support" section to settings.
