EU Plates is for fun. When traveling in Europe, my wife and I enjoy looking at car plates and now we know where they are from. Most of the source information comes from various hobbyist websites. Some data comes from other users. Please email me with questions, suggestions, or issues. You can also visit the Wikipedia site that explains each countries license plate format, as each EU state has its own.

EUPLates now includes Wikipedia data and maps for every town in EU countries that use their license plates for geographic information - ie where is that car or driver from? As well as being a fun distraction for drivers right-hand seat mates, EUPlates is now also nn educational journey in Geography and History.
