Die Barmenia-SecureApp fügt eine zweite Sicherheitsebene für Ihre Online-Konten der Barmenia hinzu. Dies funktioniert durch sogenannte Einmalpasswörter (One-Time-Password oder auch OTP), die auf Ihren mobilen Geräten erzeugt werden. In Verbindung mit dem normalen Passwort ist es fast unmöglich, den Login bei der Barmenia zu hacken. Diese Passwörter können auch erzeugt werden, wenn sich das Telefon im Flugzeugmodus befindet bzw. Sie einmal keine Onlineverbindung haben.

Die Barmenia-SecureApp kann auch mit vielen der großen Online-Dienste wie z. B. Google, Facebook ,Evernote, Hootsuite, GitHub und viele mehr verwendet werden.
