We hope you’re loving the new ClearVPN version (and would love to hear your feedback anyway!). Meanwhile, we have a bunch of fixes and new features for you already!
- You can now block browser ads and trackers with the ClearVPN app. Go to your settings and turn on the blocking feature.
* Nice news for Setapp folks! If you’re a Setapp user, you can now log in to ClearVPN with Setapp’s in-app QR code, no extra credentials required.
* Some fixes as well! We fixed some crashes, app settings issues, as well as paywall and login issues. Plus some minor and technical improvements. All should work just fine now!

BIG REDESIGN IS OUT
After a year of research & prototyping, we’re releasing a new, redesigned ClearVPN!
What changed:
Main screen has a new, minimalistic look. One tap on that big juicy button will do all the VPN work for you.
To pick a country or see server details, go to connection settings at the bottom of the main screen. Streaming mode and Optimal location VPN also live there now.
More features like widgets, Siri shortcuts and our Chrome browser extension were moved to the Features tab.
This update reflects our mission: to secure your online journey in a hassle-free way.

ClearVPN now speaks three more languages!
We’ve added German, French, and Spanish to our app. If you’re native to these languages – or just seek a bit of change in your life – you can change ClearVPN’s language in the app settings.
If you notice issues with our localizations, please let us know!
Also, we’re rolling out some minor fixed things:
* All countries' ping values are now displayed correctly
* No more ping-related crashes
* If you’re thrown offline, we’ll reconnect you to the same city over again

* Countries are sorted by ping time by default: countries with the fastest servers are on top. You can also switch to an alphabetic view if you wish.
* For more control, you can connect to multiple cities within one country. But we’ll connect you to the fastest city in any country by default.
* Meet hashtags! They’re used to quickly sort countries for more specific tasks: use #RichContent to see countries with fewer blocked websites at the top of the list, #CostSaving for countries with the lowest prices on products and services, and #TopPrivacy for countries with the best privacy and data protection laws.

Spooky update time! In the improbable case you were going to find our office, come to our door and shout, “Trick or treats!” (please don’t, it’s creepy), we have prepared a bag of treats for this release.
We mostly focused on iOS updates this time, so do check them out if you use ClearVPN on your mobile device!

Enhancers are out to give you additional control! Switch them on or off to customize your VPN connection. Here’s how they work:
- ClearWeb enhancer will block ads and trackers.
- ClearShield will protect you from malware, phishing, and cryptojacking.
- Enhancers are always disabled in the Streaming mode and always on for the Top protection preset of Smart connection.
Also, for the newcomers, we now have a quick introduction tour of our features! This might be pretty useless if you’re a longtime ClearVPN user, but let’s just be happy for the newbies.
Here’s what’s fixed:

So, we fixed a lot of stuff, but here are couple of things that deserve your attention:
* Searching for countries in Location changer got easier. You can now type in the country code or localized country name in the search bar, and we’ll do the finding job.
* No need to type in your credentials more than once! You can now log in to ClearVPN on your smartphone by scanning a QR code from your desktop ClearVPN app.
To use ClearVPN on your mobile device, just scan a QR code with your mobile device from your Mac’s screen. You can find the QR code by navigating to Settings > Your devices in your desktop ClearVPN app. One scan, and you’re in.
