Gustox App offers you the opportunity to tap into the expertise of wine and food consultants, as well as travellers who, like yourself, are interested in the local culinary heritage.
With Gustox App you’ll become a real foodie – the term used to describe tourists and travellers with a keen eye on typical local produce and dishes. The app enables searches by producers, restaurants, inns, farmhouse residences, wine bars and specialist shops within the Gustox network, offering you a unique chance to explore Italy’s finest produce.
Just a few easy steps on your smartphone and you can get in touch with fellow foodies and travellers nearby, or wherever you are about to go, who will be able to offer useful tips on where to taste typical produce, wines, dishes or other unmissable culinary curiosities.
All you need to do is click on “check-in” to be visible and available to the other foodies in your area and contact them directly with a message, request assistance or culinary advice.
Wherever you are you will be able to discover local dishes, as well as DOP, IGP, STG and PAT certified produce. The app also features local farming produce coupled with the Gustox points where you can taste and buy it.
You will also find a list of all the area’s currently active wine and food consultants, together with the foodies in the area ready to help you out with whatever you happen to be curious about.
Gustox App offers you the opportunity to do “FoodPorn” that you can share with your friends, either on Gustox or on all major social networks. Clearly we’re not talking about any explicit content here with food as a mere backdrop - FoodPorn is a term that has been coined to describe a preoccupation with food that verges on the obsessive, similar to those deep into porn. A lateral equivalent could be “food orgy”.
