It's been a bit longer than usual since the last recast update but not because the meerkats have been lazy. On the contrary, they been too busy finishing up all the goodies in this big update:
- CarPlay Support: You can now enjoy recast seamlessly in your car with our CarPlay integration. Listen to your favorite podcasts while on the road, hands-free.
- Apple Watch App: Stay connected to your recasts right from your wrist. Recast Apple Watch app on watchOS 10, making it easier than ever to control your recast experience while doing something else.
- Interactive Widgets: With iOS17 you can have even more fun with recast on your home screen. Let us recommend new and interesting recasts or get your own little Castmi to delight you.
- Embedding Recasts: Want to have a recast of your blogpost on your own website? No problem with our new embedding option.
- iPad Support: It was always possible, but now it is even nicer. You can use the recast app on your iPad.
- Custom App Icons: We know you love our app icon, but now you can customize recast even more on your home screen with a set of new icons. More to come soon.
- Too many bug fixes to count but most importantly, the offline playback bug that prevented playback from downloaded files is fixed. Sorry about that one.
