About Spoop
Spoop iOS is an application for Open Biome donors to track their poos and poo donations. It connects securely with the web-based Spoop app+API (http://spoop.info) to integrate donor-generated logs across web and mobile platforms.
With Spoop, donors are able to track time of passage, weight, bristol score, donation status, and to use custom qualitative #tags and notes in an effort to contextualize and make sense of their own rhythms, habits, and biofeedback over time. All donor records are private by default, unless the donor explicitly chooses to share his or her own records with Open Biome.
Spoop membership is currently restricted to registered Open Biome donors. If you're not a donor and are interested in tracking your poo, too - stay tuned! Work is underway to bring poo-tracking to you! Open Biome, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is the world's first stool bank, providing healthy stool for medical treatment and research to hospitals and educational institutions across the world. Fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs) are typically used to treat autoimmune and bacterial disorders in the gut, among them notably C. difficile (Clostridium difficile), with research burgeoning for a vast array diseases, from obesity to depression.
