TürKomp Ulusal Gıda Kompozisyon Veri Tabanı, TÜBİTAK, KAMAG TARAL 1007 Programı tarafından 2008-2013 yılları arasında desteklenmiş olan “Ulusal Gıda Kompozisyonunun Belirlenmesi ve Yaygın Sürekli Paylaşım Sisteminin Oluşturulması” isim ve “107G208 numaralı” Ar-Ge projesinin ana çıktısıdır. Proje, ülkemiz coğrafyasında üretilen ve tüketilen işlenmiş-işlenmemiş tarımsal ürünlerin besin ögeleri bileşimlerinin ileri laboratuvar analiz teknikleri ile belirlenmesi ve baştan sona izlenebilir veri üretme-kullanma-yönetmeyi içeren özgün ve sürdürülebilir ulusal bir sistem kurulması esasına dayanmaktadır. Ülkesel düzeyde ve uluslararası standartlarda üretilmiş güvenilir veriye ulaşım olanağı sağlayan TürKomp’un sürdürülebilirliğine destek olma amacıyla firma üyelik sistemi kurulmuştur. Veri kullanıcılarının sistemde tespit ettikleri; sorun, görüş ve önerilerini içeren değerli geri bildirimler, temeli henüz atılmış olan ulusal sistemimizin iyileştirilmesinde kullanılabilecek önemli bir kaynak olarak nitelendirilmektedir.
