With the most recent update of the Ustream App we started a transitioning process which will end with the introduction of a new mobile broadcaster application and the sunsetting of the old Ustream App.
The goal of our efforts, is to focus on features that matter the most for our users and to improve the mobile broadcasting capabilities for all of our customers and users by introducing new features and offerings.
Here are some of the changes we have implemented:
- With our most recent update we enabled 720p streaming.
- We have also removed the registration option from the app, as we don't want to onboard new users to our legacy solutions. Once the new products are launched, we migrate Ustream App users to the new applications.
- The Follow and the RSVP for Events features were recently deprecated. (We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.)
Already existing users can update the app to the latest version and continue using it until further notice. We invite you to send us any product feedback through the support form or via your Customer Success representative.

- We introduced the closed captions feature for our video player. When content creators upload a closed caption file to a recorded video or insert closed captions into a live video feed, viewers will see the Cc button in the player control bar and can select available languages.
- This version is resolving a bug, that caused a crash for some of our users during the app start after users updated from an old version to the latest one. The crash was caused by the user data migration from the old version to the new one.

In the 3.3.1 version we fixed an issue that caused crash in certain conditions.

• We introduced a new chat feature, that gradually will replace our old IRC based chat. For the moment both versions are available in the app.
• Having a discussion with the new chat is easier than ever. You can join a discussion regardless if you are logged in or not.

• The My Broadcasts page will now load faster, even with thousands of videos.
• The animation of channel videos seemed off. Now it doesn't.
• The seek bar did weird things such as displaying an incorrect duration. We have tamed it.
• The controls tended to disappear in AirPlay mode. Needless to say this isn't how we've imagined it, so we've fixed it.
• Also some other stability improvements to make your life easier.
