The ID.STRESS app runs across iOS with Fitbit Ionic smartwatches, tracking key ‘behavioural’ biometric data in real-time. When the app detects ‘stress signals’ it alerts the wearer by vibrating their smartwatch and suggesting a range of alternative approaches for reducing stress. Initially, the app guides the wearer through a calming breathing exercise, however, if your stress signals do not lower, the app guides the user to the companion smartphone app to listen to a 6min guided meditation exercise. In extreme stress situations, the app is designed to connect you to professional support or pre-approved members of your social circle.
