Some of you loved the new interface whereas some deemed the interface redesign a little aggressive from a color, contrast and brightness standpoint. We realized how difficult it can be to have an interface that hasn’t changed for years to be revamped, especially for users spending a lot of time using the POS. We made it a priority to address your concerns.
iKentoo has always been a product-driven company that strives to deliver the best experience to its users. We will continue to do so by listening to you. Your feedbacks and comments are important to us. We aspire to innovate continuously while providing our loyal clients and users the best product, for the years to come.
You will see in the upcoming months more surveys about how you feel about certain components of the products as well as the services we provide you, please take this advantage to voice your needs, expectations, what you love and what you don’t.

We have heard you and tweaked the main interface background and reduced the color saturation overall to be more soothing to the eyes.

The sequence (aka combos) screens have been redesigned for more clarity and to enhance productivity.
-Automatic sequence recognition-
When you select an item that is part of a sequence, the sequence recognition alert is displayed on the POS. You can either select it and create a sequence or ignore it.
It’s almost magical!
For more information on how to configure automatic sequence recognition, please refer to the Back-Office user manual.
-New Login Interface and Flow-
We’ve updated the shift opening and session management interfaces to enhance their flow and information architecture. The design changed, the look is new but the features and placement of the actions remain the same.
On the login interface, you can now search for a user or filter alphabetically or by last connection time. A must-have for large teams!
-Dark & Light mode-
We’re committed to delivering a great viewing experience, especially in low-light environments. As such you can now ease your eyes with our light and dark mode feature available in the POS settings panel. Again, everything is in the same place, only colors have changed.
-End of day reports-
You'll be able to read the end of day report directly on the POS when no printer is connected.

When external payment integrations indicate that a customer signature is required, a receipt is automatically printed.
-Payment interface-
Has received some subtle improvements (icons, text, layout, animations) to improve your experience. Hope you’ll like it!

-New Sequence User Interface-
The sequence (aka combos) screens have been redesigned for more clarity and to enhance productivity.
-Automatic sequence recognition-
When you select an item that is part of a sequence, the sequence recognition alert is displayed on the POS. You can either select it and create a sequence or ignore it.
It’s almost magical!
For more information on how to configure automatic sequence recognition, please refer to the Back-Office user manual.
-New Login Interface and Flow-
We’ve updated the shift opening and session management interfaces to enhance their flow and information architecture. The design changed, the look is new but the features and placement of the actions remain the same.
On the login interface, you can now search for a user or filter alphabetically or by last connection time. A must-have for large teams!
-Dark & Light mode-
We’re committed to delivering a great viewing experience, especially in low-light environments. As such you can now ease your eyes with our light and dark mode feature available in the POS settings panel. Again, everything is in the same place, only colors have changed.
-End of day reports-
You'll be able to read the end of day report directly on the POS when no printer is connected.
[IMPROVED]
-Payments: signature required-
When external payment integrations indicate that a customer signature is required, a receipt is automatically printed.
-Payment interface-
Has received some subtle improvements (icons, text, layout, animations) to improve your experience. Hope you’ll like it!
-Item details: disable sales restriction button-
We had a little Easter egg that allowed to disable the sales restriction for an item by typing 999. We now turned it into a button, so it’s not a secret anymore :)
-iPod-
After payment, the checkout screen is closed and you go back to the payment list.

This version brings a new mode for the payment popup allowing the user to show two payment method buttons per row, to have a quicker access to payment methods.
