The BBFC is independent and not-for-profit, and here to help everyone in the UK – especially children and families – choose age-appropriate films, videos and websites, wherever and however they watch or use them.
By regularly consulting with thousands of people across the country, and working closely with the film and digital industries, with educators and organisations dedicated to children’s welfare,

The BBFC app now supports iPad devices with a brand new design that makes it easy to find age ratings for upcoming and currently showing films as well as titles available on DVD/Blu-ray or Video-on-Demand services. In addition to our BBFCinsight, many films now have streamable trailers. You can also save favourites, share ratings with friends and family and listen to episodes of the BBFC podcast.
