With this release, you’ll now be able hide past sessions. Starting with Certain 7.1.12 simply go to our Session Configuration page and toggle the "Hide past sessions" option on or off to suit your check-in needs. We’re also excited to introduce the new sessions dashboard UI allowing you to gather information about your session with just a quick glance.

Bug fixes

Introducing OCR: Save time when adding a new guest by scanning in a business card seeing your guest’s contact information populate our profile fields.

Active/Inactive Question Answer Handling: We’ve made a change to remove any inactive answer options from showing up in our app.

We're back to allowing both complete and incomplete registrations to show in your event.

Bug Fix: The app was freezing on the Session Scan page.

Introducing our Signature feature. You'll now have the option to collect a registrant's signature at the time of check-in. Also, "Incomplete" registrants will no longer be included in events.

With this release you’ll be able to utilize our session capacity override enhancement and you’ll also be able to print badges even quicker now that we’ve removed the print preview screen.

Bug fix - handled exceptions for offline sync.

With this release, you'll be able to make our latest balance due enhancement configurable. Go to our Basic Configuration and simply toggle the balance due option on or off to suit your Check-In needs.

Introducing Balance Due
- With the latest release, we now check if an attendee has any payments due on the fly before successfully checking them in. If a payment is due, the event planner is alerted and the attendee is not checked in.
- As the validation is at time of check in, this requires online connectivity.

Improved Dashboards
- We now display the actual number of attendees next to the percentages in the dashboards.

- Improved Scan Experience: We've made some improvements to the scan experience so you are no longer taken back to the Guest List after a successful scan! You remain on the Scan screen and a dropdown lets you know who was scanned so you can keep scanning!

We're excited to announce that we've completely revamped on-demand badge printing with Certain Check-In to improve the print quality significantly, particularly amongst Brother AirPrint printers.

In addition, this release contains numerous bug fixes and improvements.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed: If you selected country as a profile field, the list was not always showing alphabetically. The country field is now alphabetically sorted always.

PLEASE READ: The Certain Check-In 5.7 release is for all customers that are running Certain Platform 5.12.10. Please confirm your version of Certain Platform before updating or you may incur issues with on-demand badge printing.

This release contains a slew of bug fixes for on-demand badge printing and support for Zebra printers.

• Introducing External ID Scan: Starting with Certain 5.12.2, you can now use an “Advanced Format” barcode and select External ID as the field to scan instead of RegCode.
• Localization Updates! We’ve improved our localization for the Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Chinese).
• Support for Min/Max answer values to multi-select questions.

We’re excited to announce the first phase of localization for Check-In and Kiosk. The app is now localized in ten languages: English, Spanish, Hindi, German, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. We are using Google Translate (and their powerful machine learning) to make this happen, so please bear with us on any incorrect translations. Feel free to email any translation suggestions to applications@certain.com.

*Multiple Check-Ins per Event*

Certain Check-In now allows for multiple check-in timestamps to be recorded for each registration. If you have a multi-day event, an attendee can be checked in multiple times and all timestamps will be captured. To report on multi-day check-ins within a single event, you can use the new ‘Check-Ins’ custom report type. And you can do the same across multiple events using the new ‘Check-Ins Across Events’ consolidated report type.

Last but not least, we are now offering pre-canned reports for check-ins. Reporting on single or multi-day events should be much easier.

Bug Fix: the app was crashing on the login screen on the latest generation of iPads running iOS11.
