About Clean-up
Since 1992, Antarctica has lost nearly 3 trillion tonnes of ice. Every year we are experiencing stranger and stranger weather. There's less surface water and rising temperatures. Climate change is very real and many people still do not understand or recognize it.
Cleanup aims to provide a playful, but simulative experience into the world of climate change solutions. It sheds light, through the experience, on why creating renewable energy solutions is difficult, and how the world requires energy solutions that can prove to be reliable and effective.
In Cleanup, the player is tasked with building up a sustainable town and economy, by placing objects from the build-in shop using in-game-money. Then, they are tasked with responding to the increasing/decreasing pollution and money counts. The pollution level indicators correspond to British colour-coded pollution level standards.
