Delayed Auditory Feedback（聴覚フィードバック・DAF）は、人々がもっとゆっくりと話すことを目的に確立された音声言語療法ツールですが、従来のデバイスは非常に高価で調整が難しく持ち運びも面倒だったため、広く使用されていませんでした。

DAFは、もともと口ごもる人のために開発されたましたが、のちにパーキンソン病などその他の言語障害のある人にも役立つことが確認されました。(Downie et al., 1981; Dagenaise, Outhwood & Lee, 1998; Lowit et al., 2006 and most recentely Lowit et al., 2010）。

このアプリは、自身のスピーチを違った状態で聞くことによって作用します。聴覚へのフィードバックループは話し手がよりゆっくりと話すことを促します。リサーチでは、DAFが口ごもりまたはパーキンソンを持つ人々の約1/3に効果があるであろうことを示しています。またその他の言語障害を持つ人への臨床研究はまだ実施されておりませんが、DAFがそれら人々にも有益であると考えられます。

Bluetoothデバイスを使用する場合は、フィードバックシステムにさらに60ミリ秒の遅延があります。

Bluetoothヘッドセットを使用する場合、アプリを開いた後にBluetoothデバイスをオンにする必要があります。

DAFプロはバックグラウンドや画面がオフになっている状態でも使用できます。その他のアプリと同様に、通話中または他のアプリと一緒に使用することはできません。
