偉大な預言者ムハンマドとその家族、仲間たちのためにドゥアーすることを「サラワート」と言います。

15世紀の最も偉大な思想家（veli）のひとりであるモロッコのハズラット・スレイマン・ジャズリは、ムスリムたちによって行われてきたすべてのサラワートを網羅するために『デライル・エル・ハイラット』を著した。この本が書かれた経緯は次のようなものでした：

ハズラット・スレイマン･ジャズリの妻は毎夜、メディーナ（アル・ムナワッラ＝光り輝く街）を行き来した。ジャズリは、どうしてそのようなことができるのか、いったい何をすればそのような力を得ることができるのかと妻に尋ねた。

妻は、「私が知っているひとつのサラワートのおかげです」と答えたが、そのサラワートは秘密だから教えないと言った。その後、ジャズリは聖なるサラワートをすべて集めた本を著すと、妻に、この中に秘密のサラワートが入っているかどうかだけ教えてくれないかと頼んだ。妻は本に目を通した後、微笑んで、本の中の数ヵ所に出てくると言った。
