神医はストーリー主導の AVG ゲームである。ゲームでは、中世後期にさかのぼり、主人公のシャトレの視点から医学の進化を体験する。

■ストーリー
シャトレは、医学校を卒業し、伝統医学の正しさを固く信じていた。並外れた才能と勤勉により、すぐに昇進した。しかし、経験の蓄積に伴い、患者の奇怪な死や止められない出血など、従来の医学理論で説明できない多くの状況を目の当たりにしてきた。改革派との対立の中で、シャトレは、微生物、消毒、ペンチ止血法など、伝統医学と異なって新しい知識も学んだ。そのすべてが、伝統に固執する彼にとって大きなショックであった。
