About FlashMathFlash
FlashMathFlash is a math flash card game for multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division with whole numbers. Our goal is to help people brush up on the foundations of mental math, regardless of age. However, it can be especially useful to help kids first learn their "Math Facts" as they are typically called in modern curricula. We include an option for negative numbers, commuting multiplication and addition, either timed or un-timed sessions, a comprehensive "score" screen, and the ability for the user to copy the results of their session so they can see what they need to work on next time. Additionally, the app automatically adapts to dark mode if the user has this preference set on their device.
We do NOT show ads and we do NOT have in-app purchases. Additionally, we do not collect any user data and we do not require the user to create an account.
How it works: You select your "Focus Numbers" for the session. These are the numbers which will appear most frequently in the arithmetic flash cards that are generated. Then you choose your "Helper Numbers" for the session. These numbers are used to with your "Focus Numbers" to generate the flash cards.
As an example, let's say you choose 7 and 8 as your Focus Numbers. Then you select Helper Numbers 1 through 10. You should expect to see cards with 7 x 1, 7 x 2, ... , 7 x 10 and 8 x 1, 8 x 2, ... , 8 x10, which are then shuffled and presented to you during the session. If you check the "Commute" box, then you may see the order of Focus and Helper Number reversed, but there will still be more cards that contain your Focus Numbers.
We recommend starting with 1 through 10 for each of the operations, then adding in Negatives and 11 through 15 once you master 1 through 10. Thank you and DO MATH!
