メカノイドにプログラミングする方法は3種類です。LIMプログラミング、Ragdollプログラミング、そして動作ビルダーです。動作ビルダー、およびRagdollプログラミングは、メカノイドアプリよりアクティベートすることができます。

- 新！！！動作ビルダー：メカノイドアプリには、「動作ビルダー」という新たな機能が含まれています。動作ビルダーにより、メカノイドにアクションをプログラムし、新たなアクションのトリガーを設定することができます。メカノイドに自己紹介させたり、面白いジョークを言う前に握手を求めさせたりすることができます。メカノイドの胸にあるボタンを押すことでアクションを開始させることができます。プレビューアニメは動作ビルダーに追加され、プログラムの一部となります。
- Ragdoll：このモードでは、メカノイドの腕と脚のモーターを制御し、ツイストやターンをさせたり、思い通りに動き回らせたりすることができます。
- LIM（Learned Intelligent Movement）： ロボットを操り人形のように動かすことで動きや音声をプログラムし、ボタンひとつで再生します。

Use a visual programming language to make your Meccanoid do whatever you want. Save and load any number of behaviors!
-- Triggers: continue program flow once a servo has been moved a set number of degrees, or use a chest button to continue program flow
-- Output: light up servos, change eye LEDs, change chest button lights, move individual servos, and move individual motors
-- Timers and counters: have the program loop or wait for a period of time
-- Files: insert an animation or play a sound from an animation

The Meccanoid app now contains help screens to guide new users in the use of the app with the Meccanoid robot. These help screens will appear when the user opens the app for the first time and enters each individual screen. Additionally the user can tap ? on the screen select menu and go to the help screen. From there the user can tap on any screen from the list on the help page and see the help pages for the screen selected.
Additionally the Meccanoid app is also translated into various languages. To see the app in the language you would like, the device itself needs to be set to that language. These new languages include:
