About Practitioner Engagement
The PointClickCare Practitioner Engagement application provides physicians and nurse practitioners with anytime, anywhere access to information on long-term care patients in their care. Using your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, you can securely and conveniently view your patient's medical history, leveraging access to the PointClickCare EHR platform, to help you make better decisions and improve overall communications with senior care homes.
Key benefits include:
- Provide e-Signatures for telephone and verbal orders, sign once for multiple patients
- Keep up to date on important patient changes with the notification stream
- Complete monthly order reviews
- Review laboratory, radiology, and vitals results
- Sign or create controlled substance orders (requires token device for 2 factor authentication)

Single Sign-On for Practitioner Engagement (PE) into Secure Conversations (SC) has been removed. Tap the SC icon in PE to launch the SC mobile app separately. The SC mobile app must be installed on your same device to access.

A black box warning is the FDA's most stringent warning for drugs and medical devices on the market. Create orders from scratch (any medication). For example, start by searching for a medication by name Levothyroxine, select one from medication library in search results and add dosage and schedule information to start the order.
