Day 11: Breathing shallowly from stress contributes to insomnia. Deep breathing bathes our cells with oxygen and fortifies our blood. Learn the 4-7-8 Breath: Breathe in for the count of 4, hold for the count of 7; blow out your mouth forcefully to the count of 8. Do this 4 times whenever you are feeling anxious, or when you want to fall asleep. You won’t believe how good it feels.
Day 12: Your Posture! Did you know bad posture strains muscles, creates tension and increases stress? If you stand all day, remember to slightly bend your knees. Locking them is a huge strain and drains energy sooner. If at a desk, check your ergonomic design to reduce repetitive strain injuries. We all strain our necks forward too much. Put a finger on your chin and push it back to align your head with shoulders, but stay curious!
