Well Spoken uses proven successful, spaced repetition learning technique to make sure the new vocabulary stays in your memory and is at your disposal.

Every word that you like becomes a challenge. We periodically verify if you still remember it or not. If you submit the correct answer we will challenge you less often (minutes ⇒ hours ⇒ days ⇒ months). However, answer incorrectly and we will challenge you frequently to make sure you memorise it.

*** Trending results based on social impact ***

Well Spoken recommendations are managed by our users. Your actions matter. If you find the word interesting and add it to your learning collection, we will recommend it to more users.

That’s why recommendations offered to you, are based on feedback of all our users to make sure you learn not only trending but useful vocabulary.

*** Personal and pro collections ***

Organise your vocabulary into collections, e.g. Essentials, Metaphors, Fish species, and later start the Challenge for collection of your choice. Each word can belong to one or many collections.

You can create, edit, delete your own collections, as well as use the collections, we have created together with the assistance of English teachers.

*** Search ***

If you hear a new word, e.g. when watching a movie, don’t assume you will understand what it means from the context. The context may not be as clear or there can be more than one meaning.

Search the definition directly in Well Spoken, and add it to one of your learning collection. Oh, and doing so contributes to social factor, therefore more users may discover it.
