This release highlights some major upgrades to the ‘Talk’ feature in the WNYC app and makes adding your voice to the conversation easier than ever.
Now ‘Talk’ supports multiple prompts from different shows, so you can find the topic that strikes a chord with you.
Just as important, we’ll feed our favorite answers back into the app for your listening pleasure. Some of your answers may also end up re-broadcast in one of our shows or podcasts.
Finally, we streamlined adding your info in the Submission process. Tap ‘Next’ in your iOS keyboard to move from field to field and ‘Done’ to add your voice to the mix.

Months in the making, we’ve rebuilt the WNYC iPhone app from the ground up; making it easier for you to listen to WNYC anytime, anywhere. We strongly recommend all users update to this latest version to ensure a quality experience.
The most important update is a complete overhaul of the technology that powers the app to ensure a better, more consistent listening experience. That means a more stable audio player with fewer crashes and fewer dropouts, whether you listen live or on-demand. Minor cosmetic updates and improvements are also included.
New features include:
* Optimized audio playback: fewer live stream dropouts
* Updated menu for easier navigation to your favorite features within the app
* Redesigned Discover playlist creation for show preferences; improved Discover playlist results
