Junos Space Description
Network Operators can use Junos Space on iOS devices for remote monitoring of networks. Junos Space application enables operators to simplify network management and increase productivity without being tethered to a console.

Operators can manage discovered devices with the option of displaying devices in graphical or tabular format; do sorting and searches using flexible parameters such as Junos version, model number or status. Operators can also perform device-specific operations such as viewing device inventory, configuration, interface status and device pings.

JUNOS SPACE v2.0 FEATURES:

1. The new Alarms tab enables you to quickly view and respond to Junos Space alarms.

Alarm Summary:
Alarms are summarized by severity. Within each block, tap on any of the bold text to drill down.
Un-Ack’ed – list of alarms that are not acknowledged
Ack’ed – list of alarms that have been acknowledged
Latest – shows the alarm that has the most recent event
Oldest Ack’ed – shows the alarm that was acknowledged in the most distant past
Oldest Un-Ack’ed – shows the alarm that hasn’t been acknowledged in the most distant past

Alarm List:
The alarm list may display an unfiltered list of all alarms or a filtered list by severity. Drag to move forwards or backward in time. The time range currently being viewed is shown above the list.

A search can also be performed on the currently displayed alarms. The search scope includes the alarm severity, interface and description fields.

Alarm Detail:
The full details of the alarm are shown. On this screen, three actions can be performed.
Acknowledge/Un-Acknowledge – toggles the alarm acknowledgement.
Escalate – increases the alarm severity by one level.
Clear – drops the severity to the lowest level.

2. The new Power Management tab enables viewing of the power capacity and consumption by the MX devices in the network.

Power Management for MX devices:
The Graphical views provide:
Overall power used and available.
Power used and available by device location. For enabling this option the MX devices needs to be tagged in Junos Space by “location_name” tag for example, location_SanJose.

List view provides:
A list of MX devices in the network. Power Capacity and Used data is displayed along with other device details. Further drill down takes you to the inventory view, the purpose of which is to provide information on device loading and available empty slots.

Junos Space version 11.4.
Alarms functionality requires version 11.4P2.2 (Tap App Support for more info).
