Kalido: the opportunity app Description
Kalido is an amazing AI powered platform that creates abundant opportunities for individuals in enterprises and communities. Our intuitive tools match your skills to people, teams, projects and jobs to surface economic, professional and social opportunities that would otherwise stay hidden.

Enterprise: collaborate faster, smarter and more flexibly. Through rich profiles uncover the skills demand and supply in your business. Discover interests, staff projects effectively with our project/skills matching capability, and match with colleagues on interests to drive diversity and inclusion.

Kalido has all the collaboration tools for adapting to the new working environment where your teams may be working remotely. You can use Chat for direct messages. Group Chats are great for discussions between you and a selection of other users on specific topics. And within Networks, you can create Channels which are ideal for long-term conversations around a specific project or topic between a number of people inside the network. Chat securely, share files, send polls and broadcast messages.

Communities: Kalido’s smart AI matches you with like-minded people who share your passions, needs and goals. See which community members are nearby to plan catch-ups and meetings, wherever you are. Match to members who can help grow your business and initiatives, and find investors and consultants. Kalido’s functionality is focused on helping you connect with the right people.

Features
Skills: see a clear picture of your skills ecosystem - the skills you have around you today and the skills you need for future projects. Adding skills to your profile showcases your talent and helps match you to opportunities that are a great fit.

Rich profiles: create a whole-self picture of your skills, interests, CV, experience and certifications to make finding great opportunities and connections easy. Link social profiles and channels to your Kalido profile to help people get to know you better.

Networks: the private networks you join or create are available in one place. This Network of Networks gives you a pipeline of opportunity for building your social capital and career progression, all brought together with minimal effort.

Matching: Kalido uses sophisticated AI and machine learning models to match you with opportunities, based on your needs, skills and interests.

Secure communication: direct chat messages between Kalido users, group chats for specific topics between you and a selection of users, and channels within particular networks that are ideal for long-term conversations around a specific topic between a number of people inside a network. All chats are secure and have file-sharing capabilities.

Nearby: a handy people-finder function that shows you people who have networks and connections in common with you, ordered by their distance from you. Ideal for forming teams, getting expert help fast and arranging meetings in a more agile way.

Introductions & recommendations: recommend others and be recommended for your own skills. Make introductions to people you know who can help others, and be notified when your introductions are successful. Handy icebreaker messages highlight common networks, people and interests - and you can send them straightaway or personalise.

Privacy: Kalido is a privacy-led platform. We don’t allow advertising and we’re clear that any and all data belongs to the individual user or Network owner, not us.

• In order to improve security and address user feedback, Kalido no longer automatically adds users as your contacts based on phone book data • Now you’ll see a “My Personal Network” network, which lets you individually manage your personal connections by sending and accepting requests • When expanding your personal network, you can now search for anyone in your existing networks, and anyone else who has chosen to be findable on Kalido, and request to add them. Once you’ve made a request, and the other person has accepted, they will be part of your personal network • In Settings, you can manage your search visibility, to choose whether anyone can find you, or only people in your networks • We have replaced the default public environment that all users previously belonged to with a set of geographic networks: These networks are automatically created for countries, cities, and neighbourhoods where Kalido users are active. Anyone can join these networks, allowing everyone an easy way to understand the communities around them. For companies and schools, this also means that during onboarding, a user can choose to join only your private network, creating the option of a completely private Kalido experience for them from Day One • Private network admins can now specify an email domain (e.g. my company.com) that will allow anyone with an @mycompany.com email address to automatically join a specific private network • When signing up, in addition to adding any custom skill you want, we’ve made it easier to select skills you have, and skills you are looking for, from a curated list • When signing up, we now suggest people that you might know, to make building your personal network easier • To improve navigation, the bottom tab bar is now visible at all times, unless you are in an uninterruptible flow (e.g. when recommending someone, introducing someone, or adding a skill, search or interest to your profile). This means you can now navigate into a screen within the Networks tab, and still have one-tap access to the Nearby tab, for example. • Our matching AI has learned to be better and faster, so now you'll get higher quality matches in less time across a broader set of skill concepts • Improved performance for chat, matching, network, and nearby views, making it easier to interact with networks that have thousands of members • More than 100 small bug fixes and minor experience improvements across the board

We’ve given Kalido a huge facelift, with massive improvements in functionality! Highlights:
- To better accommodate all kinds of Kalido users, from freelancers to alumni groups and members of corporate networks, we’ve replaced the terms “Find Professionals” and “Offer Services” with “Meet Skilled People” and “Provide a Skill.” Across the board, we’ve worked to simplify wording everywhere, so you’ll see other small changes throughout the app.
- To make it easier to meet skilled people and provide skills, we’ve replaced the Feed menu with a set of easy access buttons right at the top of your feed
- Every tab now has its own search field, so you can easily search for matches you’ve already received, find people quickly in your networks, and find everyone in a specific location easily
- Where relevant, search fields are supported by green filter buttons that easily let you narrow down what you’re looking for: these will let you change everything from which networks you want to see results from, to how far away you want to see results.
