10. Međunarodni kongres HRVATSKOG TENISKOG SAVEZA – ZBORA TENISKIH TRENERA HRVATSKE održat će se 17. i 18. ožujka u hotelu “Aurora” u Malom Lošinju.
Tema ovogodišnjeg Kongresa je priprema mladih tenisača za međunarodni tenis. Predavanja su namijenjena trenerima koji rade s igračima u uzrastima od 13 do 18 godina, a s ciljem ulaska u profesionalni tenis.
Ove će godine na kongresu predavanja održati tri vrhunska stručnjaka. Potvrđen je dolazak Carl Maes-a koji je bio trener Kim Clijsters i s njom prošao juniorski tenis te je doveo do broja 1 na WTA ranglisti. Simon Wheatley je niz godina bio trener juniorskih reprezentacija za LTA (Lawn tennis Association), a sada je u LTA-u zadužen za obrazovanje trenera koji će raditi s vrhunskim juniorima.
Ovogodišnji Kongres podržao je i Međunarodni teniski savez (ITF), te će predavanja održati i Dermot Sweeney koji je zadužen za razvoj juniora i ITF Touring timove.
