About Hyper Spectral
"Hyperspectral" imaging allows universities and the military to detect people, animals, buildings, vehicles and other materials by isolating specific spectral signatures. Now you can have those same techniques in the palm of your hand!
Using a proprietary algorithm, RGB signals from the iPhone's camera are converted to the electromagnetic spectrum (in nanometers) which can then be used to identify specific signatures. What signatures will you try and find!?

Usage:
Tap on the left terminal window to isolate a particular spectral range. The approximate nanometer wavelength of the selected light will be displayed on the bottom right of the app.
Tap on the right terminal window to cycle between

Although the iPhone's camera is not capable of truly detecting non-visible light, you can use this app to simulate hyperspectral techniques to isolate specific wavelengths of light such as skin, pavement, grass and many other surfaces.
Recommended for iPhone 3GS and newer.
