About Interceptions
Practice your instrument flying skills with this handy and detailed IFR trainer for iPhone.
With Interceptions for iPhone you can practice:
- INTERCEPTS: the calculation of interception headings to and from VORs. The exercises are randomly generated and will never go beyond a 90° intercept.
- HOLDING ENTRIES: Calculate randomly generated holding entries. The solution is displayed directly on the instrument, making it easy to visualize the actual holding. Includes calculation of first heading for the entry.
Please check out the app "Holdings", which lets you practice every single aspect of holding patterns!
- ANGLE OF LEAD: AoL calculations are also displayed right on the instrument, making it easy to visualize the situation from the aircraft's perspective.
- WIND CORRECTION ANGLE: Visualized WCA calculations, completely with instructions.

Calculate randomly generated holding entries - the solution is displayed directly on the instrument, making it easy to visualize the actual holding. Includes calculation of first Heading for the entry.
