About #TheCabin
Before Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others there used to be chat rooms where you can meet new friends and be a part of a community with people from all over the world without giving up your privacy and data. One such place still exists.
#TheCabin started in 1995 and has had the opportunity to have people from all over the world become friends through it. And while #TheCabin isn’t a dating site, multiple marriages have even taken place after people met there.
If you could use some new friends, just want to talk to somebody, or want to try something different then #TheCabin is a pretty great place to do that. We have our own holidays and in the past have run our own podcast and radio station. It’s a vibrant community we’d love you to be a part of.
A note about privacy:
Everyone is so used to social networks needing to know everything about you, but it doesn’t have to be that way. #TheCabin requires no information. This includes name, email address, photo or location.

* Fix nicklist not updating at times.
* When the application is backgrounded (but still connected) we'll show you activity with the option to turn this off.
* Added Text to Speech so you can put your device down and listen to the chat.
