This year, we've got BIG goals to make the app even more powerful for both clients and trainers so we're kicking off 2020 with a release filled with powerful improvements and bug fixes.

Included in this release is a fix that will put an end to a pesky bug causing the app to restart for users running on iOS 13.

6.7.1 2019-12-17
To make your workouts easier to follow, the way rest periods appear in the workout preview has been updated so it's consistent across regular exercises, supersets, and circuits (trainers will notice a difference when they're building workouts). We've also added the ability to include circuits inside regular workouts.

A new set of habit features have also been added. Now, in addition to prescribing and tracking habits, both you and your trainer will be able to see habit-related activity in the progress tab and quickly see how well you're sticking to your healthy habits.

As usual, the app now includes a bunch of other small but important improvements to keep things running in tip-top shape. This includes some optimizations to make videos send and load faster in messenger.

This update is definitely on the smaller size, but make no mistake, it still packs a performance-improvement punch. In typical tradition, we’ve sent some pesky bugs packing, smoothed out a couple of little issues, and made some tweaks so the app runs as smooth as homemade pumpkin pie. We've been hard at work bringing you some new upgrades! See what's new:

- the MyFitnessPal integration now syncs full meal details
- the Fitbit and Withings integration screens now include an option to "sync now"
- new default values for daily nutrition goals with full macros: 40% for carbs, 30% for protein and 30% for fat
- timestamps have been added to progress tiles on the client dashboard
- a new default rest time of 90sec and the removal of redundant rests in supersets
- a new onboarding flow (that includes a demo client with pre-built data) has been introduced to help trainers better learn how to use the app

We've also released fixes for the following issues:

- progress photos not fully loading
- meal plans not loading
- extremely long (>5 years) training plans not loading
- custom cardio exercises not playing video
- exercise videos pausing after 1sec during interval workouts
- the app unexpectedly closing during interval workouts
- users being logged out after the app unexpectedly closed
- notification sounds were too quiet
- older phones or phones running a lower OS not displaying the workout tracker correctly
- "null" was displayed in meal details if the food entered didn't have an associated brand
- a tool-tip was appearing in a strange location in the workout tracker
- push notifications about trainers updating a client's calendar not responding to tap
- group notification global settings missing

With this release, we’re revamping the way notes work both for trainers and for clients, and launching a new way for clients to leave “comments” on their workouts.


WHAT’S NEW:

NOTES vs COMMENTS:
Trainers now get notes all to themselves (and they’re private too!) while clients get a brand new option to add a comment to their workouts instead (keep reading to learn more about them).

This change allows us to make it clearer in the app that notes are meant for trainers’ eyes only—a safe place to mark down their thoughts or details related to their clients’ progress.

With this change, trainers can add 2 different types of notes: general notes (can be added from the client profile) and workouts notes (can be added from a client workout).

To make sure you never miss a beat, you can see all the notes related to each client from their profiles.

Go on, make the most of them!

INTRODUCING CLIENT COMMENTS
But there’s more! Communication is a two-way street after all, so clients can now add comments to their workout and cardio activities.

This is a brand new concept we’re introducing and we think it’ll be a major game-changer! Trainers will be able to view comments and gain valuable insight into how their client is enjoying (or persevering through) their workouts.
