About Listen Communication Tool

Tap the mic button. Speak into your device. Your words will be transcribed onto the screen. Associated pictures will be shown if there are any matches in your library. Press the play button to have the words spoken back at a slower pace as the corresponding words are highlighted.

Pictures can be added to the library at anytime that will be shown as the word is spoken.

The Listen Communication Tool helps break the communication barrier for those hard of hearing or those who need help understanding. This tool allows the user to repeat the message as many times a necessary, while having word and picture association.

Settings in the app allow the user to adjust the speed at which the words are spoken. There are 55+ voices to choose from including male or female, along with many different accents. Also, choose between displaying pictures as tiles on the screen that highlight as the word is spoke, or a cover view style that has the pictures scroll by as the word is spoke.

Pictures can be used from the user that will further help with understanding and picture association. An example might be loading pictures of family members, teachers, or pets so their pictures are shown if their name is spoke and can add a layer of comfort and personalization to their communication.

The Listen Communication Tool is made for classroom use and was built with communicating with those with autism, down syndrome, and any hearing difficulties.

The app backs up photos and settings that allows it to be used on multiple devices. Set up an account at home and allow your teacher to use the same account on their device to access the same settings at school.

Note: The app requires the user to set up a free account. This allows the backing up of photos/settings.
Note: The app requires a network connection at all times when being used for the speech recognition.
