About McMaster Textbook
The McMaster Textbook of Internal Medicine mobile app gives you convenient access to the first comprehensive Canadian textbook of internal medicine. It has been developed at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, the birthplace of problem-based learning and evidence-based medicine, in collaboration with the Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine.
Covering the essential fields of internal medicine, the textbook aims to answer the needs of physicians, residents, medical students, and other medical professionals who seek access to updated verified medical knowledge useful in everyday practice.
The textbook employs the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation) system to indicate the Strength of Recommendations and Quality of Evidence.

In our latest release we have introduced registration and log-in mechanisms to know what our users need and how we could better meet those needs.
From now on the McMaster Textbook of Internal Medicine becomes a combined digital package of resources accessible through the website and mobile apps.
Textbook contents are available to registered users with subscription. Contents other than the Textbook will remain available without the need to subscribe.

This update introduces paid subscriptions that grant unrestricted access to the McMaster Textbook. The revenue will be used to offset the cost of development and maintenance. We have put a lot of effort into ensuring the fee is kept as low as possible.
All users will still be able to enjoy selected modules free of charge.
This update also brings some tweaks and fixes, which should improve the ease of use and stability of the app.
