5.2
2026-10-04
Membit 5.2 introduces new creative tools, sharper AR photography, and improvements to viewing and sharing your experiences.
- **Edit content after saving:** Reposition, rotate, and resize content you created without recreating it. Save your adjustments or cancel to restore its previous placement.
- **More precise placement:** Fine-tune position, rotation, and scale with numerical values and incremental controls. Keep proportions locked or adjust each scale axis independently.
- **Clear visual editing guides:** Color-coded guides and matching controls show your selected model’s axes. Movement and rotation follow the model’s own orientation, while a flat surface guide identifies it during touch-based adjustment.
- **Improved wall and floor placement:** Place models on horizontal or vertical surfaces, with dragging and rotation that respect the selected surface.
- **New image-placement options:** Poster mode places images flat against walls or floors. Billboard mode stands them upright on a surface. The original Historic placement option remains available.
- **Live Photo support:** Choose a Live Photo from your library and use its still image in a membit.
- **Viewpoint-aware photographs:** Photos placed in the original style now fade when viewed from the side or behind, while their glow helps guide you toward the intended viewpoint.
- **More immersive scenes:** Added support for invisible occluder models—shapes that hide virtual content behind them, allowing creators to design effects such as reveals around corners.
- **Landscape AR on iPhone and iPad:** Explore scenes in either landscape direction, with full-screen landscape support on iPad and improved AirPlay viewing from iPhone.
- **Sharper, more reliable AR photos:** Capture higher-resolution images on supported devices, with depth-aware rendering of people and virtual content. Fixed cases where models appeared in live AR but were missing from captured photos.
- **Better photo preview and sharing:** Review the full image before saving or sharing, with channel branding included. Photos are saved only when you choose to save them.
- **Automatic heat management:** If your device becomes very hot, Membit alerts you and temporarily reduces photo resolution. High-resolution capture becomes available again after it cools.
- **Improved scene and channel loading:** Nearby content is prioritized when a scene appears. Channel introduction videos and their graphics begin loading earlier, reducing waiting and improving presentation.
- **Open links directly from AR content:** Tap content containing a web link in its description to open the linked page.
- **More dependable interaction:** The selected item stays selected while you view its information or edit its placement. Adding new content no longer allows gestures to move previously placed items accidentally.
Additional fixes improve photo cropping, image-glow sizing, recording previews, rotation handling, and navigation during loading.
