There is an optional new feature to ensure that you always receive high pollen notifications about your current location. By granting the 'always on' permission, the app will periodically obtain your current location in a battery-efficient manner to ensure that it can send you relevant notifications.
If you disable this, the app will work the same as before - it will obtain your current location when you open the app and will not know if you go elsewhere until you open the app again. This update also includes performance improvements and crash fixes.
