About OnBoard Mobile

The OnBoard for iPhone app allows mobile workers to make workspace and conference room reservations using their iPhone rather than logging into a PC or waiting in line at a Kiosk. Employees of organizations using the OnBoard workplace management system can now make, check in to, and even cancel reservations while traveling, as long as they have Internet connectivity.

Using the latest technology, the iPhone’s GPS notifies you when you are close to the office and asks, “Ready to check in now?” And when plans change, the app makes cancelling reservations easy and convenient to release space and drive utilization even higher.

Installation and configuration of AgilQuest’s OnBoard workplace management system and the OnBoard for iPhone interface are prerequisites for using this app. VPN or other security settings may also be required. Contact your IT department for details.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. This feature may be turned off by disabling the "Use Location Based Check In" option under Settings. This action will disable check-in notifications from the app.

• Made server setup view more clear by adding port and SSL options. Better error handling for invalid URL's.

• Changed default for Location Based Check In to On.

• Automatic refresh of Home screen (bookings) after actions like Cancel, Check In or Check Out fail. The refresh will allow you to see that the booking state was changed (most likely by a concierge) and the action you selected is no longer possible. There is an automatic refresh as well now when the Home view receives focus either by the app moving from the background to the foreground or by making a booking and returning to Home.

• Changed error dialogs to only show when the app is running in the foreground. This will prevent the error dialogs received when the app is active in the background and then brought to the foreground. Multiple dialogs were being displayed that the user had to dismiss in the event of background connection failures to the onBoard server.

• Added refresh button to Home view in addition to the "pull to refresh" feature.
