This update includes some small, but highly requested features! Eyedropper can pick colors exclusively from the active layer, and you can select all layers then duplicate, share, and merge them all at once. We've also fixed an issue where pinching to zoom could stop working when using Apple Pencil Pro squeeze.

¡Bienvenidos amigos de Latino América! Procreate is now a better experience for Spanish speakers, supporting both Spanish from Spain and Spanish from Latin America.

Eyedropper active layer
Tap with a second finger while you are picking colors to toggle between sampling from your current layer and the whole canvas. You can pick colors from a layer even if the pixels are behind something else.

Multiple layer actions
Swipe right on all the layers you like the look of, and tap on the Layers title to get some new options. In addition to grouping and deleting in bulk, you can now merge, duplicate and share. You can also Select All and do all those things to all your layers.

There's also a bunch of high value fixes for:
- brushes duplicating themselves.
- transforming layer masks.
- improving the end of stroke on devices with hover.
- content deleting after undoing layer merges and then moving layers.

Did you know in Gesture Controls under Eyedropper toggling on Apple Pencil squeeze means you can pick colors without ever touching the screen?

Did you know you can import your own fonts into Procreate? Tap the Import button on the text Edit Style keyboard, drag and drop, or place them into your On My iPad → Procreate → Fonts folder.

Say hello to the exciting new features for Apple Pencil Pro in Procreate.

Apple Pencil Pro with Procreate unlocks new ways to customize your favorite brushes, introducing new possibilities for your workflow. This update releases support for barrel roll, squeeze and haptic feedback.

Brush Settings for barrel roll
Barrel roll supercharges Procreate brushes in Brush Studio, providing a new way to control shape rotation, stroke jitter, color dynamics, grain rotation, size, opacity and more. You can add barrel roll to many other settings in the Apple Pencil tab, or by tapping the numeric entry button on the slider and switching on barrel roll.

Squeeze
Hover over your canvas and squeeze to select the layer you wish to work on, speeding up navigation on even the most complex projects. Squeeze to pick colors with Eyedropper or use QuickMenu to activate shortcuts without ever touching the screen. Assign squeeze to custom actions with Actions → Prefs → Gesture controls.

Haptic feedback
Haptic feedback provides a more tactile experience when making selection masks, transforming layers, using ColorDrop, drawing QuickShapes and more. Try turning on Snapping on the Transform toolbar to feel the layer snap to the canvas edges.

Liquify Twirl with barrel roll
You now have full control over rotation in Liquify Twirl. Twist the Apple Pencil Pro back and forth to bend your layers exactly how you want them.

Now that Procreate 5 has been born and is out in the wild, it's time to deliver the afterbirth of life-giving bug fixes and improvements.

* The annoying snap while using colors is no more
* Importing CMYK PSDs with transparency got a whole lot more transparent
* Rotating and inverting grains now works for Texturized grains as well
* If you had backed up your swatches from Procreate 4 and tried to reimport them you received squat
* Have no fear moving from Brush Studio straight to Gallery. The bug has been vanquished
* Background colour is now cool with you jumping back to Gallery
* Combine modes should remain same for primary and secondary brush (was showing normal and not updating for secondary)
* Straya and Blighty localisations got some attention
* Full screen wasn't particularly full screen with the painting toolbar hanging around, and also wouldn't return automatically. lol.
* Back by popular demand, larger iPads now display all Liquify options and settings
* Copying and Pasting while the Color Companion is open no longer harms your ability to Transform
* Just because you reset your custom brush didn't necessarily mean you wanted to remove all your author information
* Smudging with symmetry now smudges with symmetry
* Custom brushes in the QuickMenu were replaced with Round Brush if you reset them
* Fixed a crash when setting a Background Color
* Gallery Preview got a good kick in the diaper to make it go faster
* For pixel art people, we've fixed 1px brushes so that they paint at 1px
* Lots of little ABR support improvements
* Some lovely improvements to stroke end taper
* Brush spacing is now the same as it was in Procreate 4

We haven't cut the umbilical cord on Procreate 5 just yet. Still a few more little surprises and bug fixes to come.

This is the update you’ve been waiting for. Welcome to Procreate® 5, the biggest release we’ve ever given birth to. With hundreds of exciting new features and quality of life improvements we’re going to need that epidural, these forceps, and where are you going with those scissors?!

• Animation Assist
Making its debut in Procreate® 5 is the all new Animation Assist. The easy to use and deceptively powerful animation tool. With fundamentals like onion skinning and instant playback, Animation Assist helps you create rich illustrative animations, animatics and looping GIFs to share with others.

• A whole new way to paint
Painting and drawing in Procreate 5 is a whole new experience. Pencils now feel more natural and organic. The new Artistic and Drawing brushes lay beautiful painterly textures. Your Apple Pencil affects your strokes in ways that feel totally delightful and infinitely controllable.

• Brush Studio
Procreate 5 introduces the Brush Studio with over 100 new settings for unparalleled customization. Crafting your own brush has never been easier with the new seamless textures generator. An expanded Drawing Pad sets you free to experiment. Save a reset point at any time and keep on refining.

• ABR import
For the first time you can import your favorite Adobe® Photoshop® brushes into Procreate®. Imported Adobe® Photoshop® brushes will also paint faster in Procreate® 5 than they do in Photoshop®. lol.

• Author cards
Share your brushes and artworks impregnated with author information. Add a photo, add your name, and sign so everyone knows who’s the daddy.

• Valkyrie, the next generation Graphics Engine
The new Valkyrie engine gives artists the most flexible and versatile painting system on iPad. If you want to make a glazed brush that wet mixes, has color dynamics, and also has wet edges with burnt edges? You can. And all with Procreate’s trademark performance.

• Combine brushes
When a mommy brush and a daddy brush love each other very much, they come together to create something new and beautiful. Just swipe two individual brushes and tap Combine to make a completely new and unique brush.

• Color Dynamics
Create depth and vibrance by adding color variation to your brush strokes. Add stroke or stamp jitter for happy accidents, or precisely introduce a secondary color with pressure or tilt.

• Color Companion
Speed up your workflow by dragging the Colors menu on to your canvas to spawn a baby Color Companion. Move the Color Companion so it’s out of the way or wherever it’s needed most.

• Color History
The new Color History keeps your most recently used colors always within reach.

• Color Profiles
Creating prints, comics, and books from your Procreate artwork is better than ever. Viewing work through the lens of a specific ICC profile makes a smooth transition from pixel to paper.

• Color Harmony
Choose from Complimentary, Split Complimentary, Analogous, Triadic and Tetradic profiles. Each of these harmonies help you pick beautiful color combinations every time.

• Clone adjustment
Sometimes you want to reproduce something exactly; just through the power of science. The new Clone adjustment lets you use any brush to paint with the contents of your layer. Hold to lock it into place.

• Much more
We've also baked in a new create canvas system, a redesigned and improved interface, increased smudge sampling performance, improved memory handling, more Time-lapse recording options, improved GIF export and so much more.

We've laboured tirelessly on Procreate 5 and we couldn't be more proud. No presents please, just your App Store reviews.
