4.0.2 2023-05-29
• Auto-refresh was not working. This is now fixed.
• Station List now remembers which weather reading type you are viewing.
• Added actual wind direction degrees next to directional arrow.
• Other minor bug fixes and tweaks.
4.0.1 2023-05-21
Version 4.0.1

• Fixed problem where time displays between Noon and 1:00PM were showing AM instead of PM.
• Fixed display of rain totals on the 7-day chart when the accumulated rain total value decrease mid-day. This technically should not be possible, but sometimes it comes up in the data that way, so at least it will plot normally now.
• Fixed Y axis chart problem for UV Index and Solar Radiation if there are no values above 0.
• The Heat Index display was accidentally left out. When conditions are correct it should be shown next to the Temperature value in the same box.
• Added the option to view current Gust value on the Station List screen.

Version 4.0

• Redesigned from the ground up, but still staying true to the classic PWS Monitor fast, no-frills weather condition display.
• Remove the ads! You can now remove the ad banner. Check out the Premium section in Settings for more information.
• 7-Day Charts. You now have the option for 1-day or 7-day charts.
• New space-efficient square displays for the current conditions. Or choose a more traditional wide display in Settings.
• Choose whether or not to combine the Temperature and Dewpoint values on the same chart.
• Favorite Stations list now shows Temperature, Wind, or Rain values for a quick look at conditions across your station list. Tap a station in the list to go directly to the detail screen.
• Better use of space on iPads and landscape modes.

You can now add a custom nickname to your favorite stations. Tap the "I" icon on the Settings screen to enter a custom nickname.
Now filtering out obviously bad Pressure and UV Index values that can cause a crash under certain conditions.
Updated Google ad banner component for beter iOS 14 support.
3.7.1 2019-11-03
3.7.1
Fixed a crash that can happen when manually entering a Station ID that is invalid or the station has been offline for awhile.

3.7
Added Beaufort option for wind speed.
Settings screens now support iOS 13 dark mode (the weather display still uses the app's existing Light/Dark option).

Decimal temperature values are back!
When Weather Underground/IBM switched to their new data API back in January, they were rounding off the temperature values to the nearest degree. After lots of complaints from lots of people they finally put the decimals back in. However I had to make a small update to the app in order to actually get those decimal temperature values again. So that's what this update is for.

3.5.2 2019-06-20
* Fixed a problem for users in the GMT/UTC+0 time zone that could cause a crash or missing charts with the message "Error determining reading time".
* The 12/24 hour time option should now work reliably for all users.
* Reading times between noon and 1:00PM were being displayed as AM instead of PM.
3.5.1 2019-01-09
3.5.1
* Fixed wind values not correctly being converted to the selected units.
* The list of favorite stations should no longer have overlapping text if you have your device text size increased.
* Some of you have reported the app crashing right off the bat. I'm still not 100% sure of the cause, but it seems to be happening mostly with users in the UK. I put in some additional error trapping that may help, but that may just change it from crashing to showing no data. Let me know what you experience.

Very little work has been done in the app for the last several months because I didn't know if the app would be able to survive past the end of the year. IBM (owners of Weather Underground) announced several months ago that the old data API was being shut down in favor of a new one. It wasn't until very late in the year before I knew if the new API would still have the data I needed and if I would be able to afford it. This is also why I put on hold the work I was doing to add an option to remove the ad banner. I did not want to take money from users only to have the app completely shut down a few months later.
Fortunately I was able to work things out with IBM for the new API so now the app lives on and I can resume work on it. I have an ever increasing wish list (yes, including the ability to remove the ad banner) that I can now work on without worry that the app will shut down soon.

* The new API should fix the recent problem with the "Last Updated" time sometimes being minutes or hours old.

* However it's not perfect and I have already reported a few bugs. The biggest of which is that temperature and dew point values do not have any decimal place values. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

3.1.1 2018-01-04
Sorry cold climate users. I inadvertantly filtered out dew point values below 0. Should be ok now.
3.1 2017-11-23
New Features:
* Light Color Theme
* Humidity Chart

Bug Fixes:
* The Wind Direction chart was not appearing if the station was not reporting wind gust data
* Sizing and spacing tweaks to smaller displays (iPhone SE)
* Fixed empty space between some charts on iPhone X
* Rain chart will now always show even if there's no rain (I was hiding them on purpose when there was no rain, but this caused a lot of confusion, so it's back to always being displayed)
* Filtered out invalid dew point and pressure values

Now a Universal app for full iPad support! PWS Monitor now takes full advantage of the larger iPad screen for large, easy to read charts. The iPad version also shows the time when the high/low weather events took place.

Now you can configure different unit types for temperature, wind speed, barometric pressure, and rainfall amounts. It's no longer all metric or all imperial.

If you are monitoring multiple stations, PWS Monitor now only downloads the weather data when you actually view the specific station instead of downloading data for all stations at startup.
