4.24.1 2024-03-11
This update contains a few housekeeping fixes for small behind-the-scenes items.
4.24.0 2023-09-20
For our friends with the Shifts feature, we added some new functionality! Most notably, you can now post the same shift to several days at a time. Know you're out next week and need to post the same shift for Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday? Now you can post all 3 at once without having to go through the process for each day!
4.23.2 2023-04-24
We made some slight adjustments and improvements behind-the-scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
4.23.1 2023-03-14
We chased down some smaller bugs and fixed up some little quality of life issues just to keep things running smoothly.

· Links to PDF resources in messages were loading in a tiny little area on the screen sometimes, making them incredibly hard to read.
· The sender name and read receipt info were not showing up in message details if your phone was set to dark mode.
· The button to attach a picture to a message kinda jumped around a bit right when you tried to tap on it, sometimes leading to the wrong button getting pressed.
· We made the Search key make the keyboard go away when searching for messages so that now you can actually scroll to the bottom of a long list of results.
4.23.0 2023-02-21
Introducing Multi-Factor Authentication! Do you want to add a little extra security to your account? Well, now you can! If you have a verified phone number, you can enable Multi-Factor Authentication, or MFA. With this new MFA feature, you'll have to verify a code sent in a text message in order to log in to your account. The best part is, you don't even have to pay for a blue checkmark to get this new security feature. It's totally free!
4.21.0 2022-10-19
· You can now search members of a group. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it can be helpful to know if Gary in Marketing is getting the same group messages about not printing out so many documents on the shared printer. Just pop up the list of members in a group to search without having to scroll through all the names. Seriously, is he STILL waiting on more pages??
· You can also now easily leave a member-created Team. If you pop up that list of members from earlier and see an "Edit" button, you can tap on that and then choose to leave the Team if, say, Gary has been a little too chatty lately about how much he loves the new printer. (If you do not see an "Edit" button, that means the group was created by your Network)
4.20.2 2022-09-09
We beefed up our password strength requirements.
4.20.1 2022-08-17
Are you super popular? Do you have more than 20 conversations in the app? Well, good news! You can now view all of them again. There was a problem where only the first 20 would load and then the avatars would start flickering like the fluorescent lights in a horror movie if you tried to scroll down any further. We fixed up the issue so you can get back to seeing all the amazing conversations you're having!
4.20.0 2022-08-02
· You can now search messages that you've sent or received! Just tap the magnifying glass in the Messages screen to quickly find the message or conversation you're looking for.
· We made some small changes to Team groups and how they are edited.
4.19.1 2022-07-06
We patched up an issue that some of our friends with spaces in their last names had when trying to connect.
4.19.0 2022-05-25
We've updated our account activation process to be more streamlined with connecting you to your network.
4.18.1 2022-05-03
· Forget your username? Lose access to your email? Well, you can now also reset your password with your phone number! Just make sure to add and verify your number now so it's available if you need it later.
· Wading through a sea of Resources? Well, you can now search file and folder names instead of having to hunt down what you're looking for.
4.18.0 2022-04-20
Folks have been asking us to add phone numbers to their account, so we answered the call! "Hold the phone!" you say, "I can now log in with my phone number?" Absolutely! Just edit your account to add and verify your number, and you'll be dialed in and ready to go.
4.17.4 2022-03-03
· For our friends who are in more than one shift group, we fixed an issue where you couldn't choose your group when posting a new shift.
· We continued our quest to keep things up to date and running smoothly by making some unseen and soon-to-be-enabled optimizations and upgrades.
4.17.3 2022-01-20
· Do you have an animated personality? Do you like to send messages that reflect that animation? Well, you're in luck! We brought back support for animated gifs in the app, so get animated!
· If animation isn't for you, perhaps you prefer to convey your personality through your username. Well, you're also in luck! We fixed an issue where you couldn't change your username.
· We fixed an issue in Shifts that made it look like you could edit or delete shifts even when you couldn't.
· We continued our quest to keep things up to date and running smoothly by making some unseen optimizations and upgrades.
4.17.2 2022-01-05
There was a problem with repeating notifications that was causing the app to crash on launch for some of our friends who have been using Red e App for a while.
4.15.4 2021-10-13
We fixed a problem for people on the most recent iOS version where the little navigation bar on the top of the screen was transparent sometimes when it shouldn't have been. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was super distracting being able to see a tiny bit of the previous screen still, so we patched it up to make the navigation bar as clear as mud again.
4.15.3 2021-10-08
Just a quick update to fix an issue we found with Saved Messages not being able to load properly.
4.15.2 2021-09-29
· Read receipts are getting a small behind-the-scenes boost to their functionality.
· We fixed an issue for a handful of people that would break their profile.
4.15.1 2021-09-21
We fixed an issue that some people had when searching their company directory, and beefed up a minor security feature to keep things running safe and sound!
4.9.1 2020-12-29
Minor bug fixes and enhancements.

We know that curt, uninformative release notes like that are boring and uninspired, but sometimes it's just true!
4.9.0 2020-12-08
(We changed quite a bit since the last version of Redeapp, so there's a lot here. But if you're in a hurry, we suggest at least reading this first part!)

This update introduces some changes to the way you will see messages if you are in more than one Redeapp network.

With this new update, inboxes will be separated by network. You can view messages in different inboxes and switch between networks using a new simple toggle that you can find by swiping to the right. If you’re thinking, “toggle schmoggle, what does this even mean?” Just update your app and swipe to the right to see the network switcher!

Some other changes in this update:

· Icons throughout the app got a nice refresh and are more consistent across different sections.
· We reset the "More Days" date picker in Shifts back to how it was before iOS 14 completely changed it on us (without even asking us first. How rude!)
· Whenever you tap on a Redeapp message notification on your phone, it should now bring you to the conversation for that message instead of just seeing that one message.
· For those of you who are network broadcasters for your company, we brought back the ability to quickly send a network broadcast from the Groups section of the app.
· Group message read receipts were all sorts of broken if there were more than 20 and you tried to scroll or search, so that got fixed.
· Somehow, amongst all this, we still found time to knock out a few other small bugs that were causing some minor frustrations for people with spotty internet connections (because having spotty internet is frustrating enough on its own.)
4.8.1 2020-10-22
· We've added Do Not Disturb functionality! You can mute individual conversations (swipe left), or you can snooze all of your notifications for a while. Check it out in the Settings menu.
· If you send messages to groups, you'll now have more insight into who is or isn't connected to Redeapp. Now it's easier than every to tell if Gary from marketing is in that "Marketing" group or not!
4.8.0 2020-10-16
· If you send messages to groups, you'll now have more insight into who has or hasn't read your message. Now it's easier than ever to tell if Gary from marketing saw the message you sent last week about using the new company logo!
· There are some exciting new updates coming soon to profiles (including emojis!) to help give you a better idea if the person you're messaging is Gary Jones in marketing, or Gary Jones in shipping and receiving.
4.7.3 2020-09-22
· Introducing Shift Notifications! For our friends using Shifts, you can now get notified when new shifts are posted in your groups. Make sure you’re the first to know if there’s an open shift so you can pick up a few extra hours!
· We made some improvements to speed up message delivery.
· Bug fixes and other behind-the-scenes enhancements.
4.7.0 2020-06-16
This release includes support for Redeapp’s new HealthePassport functionality.
4.6.0 2020-04-29
· We beefed up some security features to keep your messages safe. We really wanted something with laser beams and infrared cameras, but APPARENTLY it wasn't "cost effective" to get a complex million dollar security system for each of you. So we stuck to what we know and made sure the digital security of the app is top-rate.
· Did you ever notice that some of your messages seemed to sort of repeat the same information twice in those little message bubbles?
· Did you ever notice that some of your messages seemed to sort of repeat the same information twice in those little message bubbles?
· Turns out it's not very useful to read the same thing twice, so we fixed up the app so that hopefully shouldn't happen anymore.

Red e App doesn't prompt you for reviews in the app - we think this is super annoying and often interrupts important work that you are doing. But if you love Red e App, we'd love to hear about it! If you could spare a few minutes to leave a review, we'd appreciate it.
4.5.2 2020-04-09
· There was a little issue with messages not showing up inside a conversation right when they came in. You'd get the notification, it would play whichever fun notification sound you have selected (did you know you can change these in the Settings menu?) but if you were looking at the conversation with that person, the message wouldn't show up unless you went back to your Messages and then loaded the conversation again. This is obviously not what should have been happening, so we made sure that it isn't happening anymore!
· We updated several messages and prompts when creating an account or resetting your password to make sure you get the right information that will help get you - and keep you - Red e for Work!
4.5.1 2020-04-04
· Better formatting! Line breaks will be better preserved in your messages, and most website links should automatically be detected.
· One slightly shorter line! No, not a shorter line at the grocery store, unfortunately. We made one of the lines on the menu icon slightly shorter. It took weeks and weeks of effort by a large dedicated team, but we decided you were worth it. (OK, so it took maybe 10 minutes, but we think it looks better!)
· Teams! If your company has Teams enabled, you'll be able to create your own group conversations. To learn more about this, contact your company's Redeapp admin, or success@redeapp.com.

4.4.0 2020-03-11
· We've updated the side menu to really focus on Messages, and a few items have new homes. If your company uses Directory, it now lives inside the updated People section. Groups (if you have them) are now categorized into 'Teams' (reply-all) and 'Broadcasts' (not-so-reply-all).
· What's New is new, that's what! If you want to know what's new, the new What's New will keep you in the know.
· We updated most of the iconography used throughout the app to keep things looking fresh. And if you're wondering if we just wanted to use the word "iconography" to sound smart, the answer is "indubitably."
· We made some adjustments to the side menu so that it's easier for your coworkers to join you in Redeapp!

4.3.0 2020-02-04
· Need to send longer messages? The 325 character limit has been removed! We still think you should keep your messages short & sweet, but this will help you convey your entire point without getting cut o...
· You can now create small group chats with your coworkers if directory is enabled for your company. Just hit the + button to compose a new message and search for up to 6 people to include in your message.
· We tweaked the way that simple messages are displayed in a conversation so that you can read messages more quickly.
4.2.2 2020-01-02
We've been working hard through the end of the year to clear out some bugs and quirks in the app to make sure you can start off the new year right!

· We made space in our schedule to make sure that spaces work properly in directory search.
· The little red "unread" indicator dot wasn't automatically disappearing from a conversation when you read all your messages, so we refreshed our code so you don't have to keep refreshing your messages.
· There was a problem with push notifications for new users, so we pushed a change to fix it.
· We added some prompts for people who need a little extra help when creating an account. We couldn't come up with another fun way to use "prompts" in this note, so we're sorry about the lack of a pun on this one.
4.2.1 2019-11-25
· Winter is coming. And with it, earlier sunsets and a lot more darkness. Redeapp wanted to get in on this whole "dark" thing, so we now support Dark Mode on your device!
· Large images in the Resources section were sometimes not being scaled properly for viewing on your device, but we made sure to cram them into the screen so you don't have to pinch and swipe around to see them all.
· After adding video support in our last release, we realized that life is better in motion. With that in mind, we added support for animated gif images as message attachments!

Red e App doesn't prompt you for reviews in the app - we think this is super annoying and often interrupts important work that you are doing. But if you love Red e App, we'd love to hear about it! If you could spare a few minutes to leave a review, we'd appreciate it.
4.2.0 2019-11-04
· They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I guess that means a video is worth *pulls out TI-83 calculator from high school* 1000 words x 30 frames per second x 1 minute = 1.8 million words per minute! Instead of typing out 1.8 million words, send a video instead- you can now attach videos to your Redeapp messages!
· In an effort to make the app easier to use, we have changed 'Contacts' to 'People'. You'll be able to add new 'People' with one tap through Directory so that you can easily reach the coworkers you connect with most frequently. We have loads more updates coming to 'People' soon - stay tuned for more updates!
4.1.6 2019-10-17
Minor bug fixes and enhancements.

Sorry for not having something fun or exciting to read about this version of Red e App, but sometimes the details are just a little too mundane to jazz up into something entertaining. We'll try to keep adding cool new features and stability upgrades to the app, and then we'll tell you all about them next time!

4.1.3 2019-08-30
· If you tried choosing a username that's already taken when creating an account, the button wouldn't work on the next try (even though the app said to "try, try again"). We fixed that up, so now you can try, try again... again!
· When you get a message while using the app, a notification banner will appear if you're using iOS 10 or higher.

4.1.2 2019-08-01
What's new in 4.1.2 - Ghost Busting Edition

· If you deleted a conversation that had unread messages, it was resulting in a "ghost badge" on the app icon that wouldn't clear out, so we busted that bug.
· When creating an account, we added a usually-behind-the-scenes captcha challenge to ensure that you're actually human and not trying to slime us.
· For some networks, the name and address on the network profile image were really hard to read, so we added a "spooky" shadow to the text so it can be read more easily.
· We added some help text to the Directory search and set up a part of Shifts to handle empty fields better. Despite being unable to come up with a good ghost analogy for these upgrades, we decided to include them in the app update anyway!

Red e App doesn't prompt you for reviews in the app - we think this is super annoying and often interrupts important work that you are doing. But if you love Red e App, don't just drop by and then ghost us in the App Store. If you could spare a few minutes to leave a review, we'd appreciate it.
4.1.1 2019-06-26
What's the 4-1-1 on 4.1.1?

· Want to work on your skills as a parrot? Good news! You can now swipe to the left on a message to copy it. Copy that?
· There was a very specific, yet tragic, series of circumstances for a few of you that led to not having the option to turn on Notifications for Red e App in the Settings app. We closed that loophole for anyone new, but if you're having issues with it already, reach out to our world-class support team at support@redeapp.com to get back in the know.
· Videos in a certain part of the app kept trying to hop out of the content in the app and play in Safari instead. I guess the video figured "If you ain't first, you're last!" (™ Ricky Bobby, Inc) so it wanted to be seen FIRST!
4.1.0 2019-06-05
· Forms got a behind-the-scenes update to support some upcoming new features. You won't notice anything new yet, but stay tuned!
· If you don't have an Internet connection and you try to sign in, the app will now let you know that you don't have an Internet connection instead of lying to you about having bad credentials.
4.0.11 2019-04-18
· Just like in some of our favorite movies, there was a case of mistaken identity going on in Red e App! Although, it wasn't nearly as entertaining as films like Three Amigos, Dave, or The Christmas Prince. There was an issue where profile images could show up for the wrong person, especially in Reply-All groups, leading to confusion about who said what. Now you can know for sure that Jen from accounting sent those quarterly statements, and not Gary from marketing.
· Although not quite as reality-bending as films like Inception, there were some quirky things happening to full-screen images when you rotated your phone. We fixed that up to make sure your pictures always snap back to reality.
· We accidentally slipped a small issue into the app that caused things to go haywire if you have a pending contact invitation. I guess just like in Mean Girls, there can be some downsides to being popular!

· We made some changes to the feedback you get in the app when (unsuccessfully) attempting to connect to your employer that should help steer you in the right direction.
· We went in to change a single word in the "Edit Profile" page, and while we were there we noticed a few things that were setting our compulsive tendencies on fire, so we went ahead and cleaned that page up.
4.0.8 2019-02-05
· We got really excited when the developers told us about this version of the app, but then we realized they were talking about fixing something with "caching" in the app, and were not in fact fixing us up with large amounts of "cash."
· They also mentioned something about fixing ampersands in URLs or something like that, but we kinda checked out after that disappointing "no, we didn't bring you stacks of cash" thing.
4.0.7 2019-01-16
We tried coming up with a fun theme for the release notes for this version, but we didn't have a lot of interesting bug fixes or new features to work with this time around. The developers just told us "it's mainly small bug fixes and enhancements." I mean, they might as well have blindfolded us and handed us a box full of birds to open. (Is that how it goes? We haven't seen the movie yet, we aren't really sure. No spoilers!)
4.0.6 2019-01-10
· Let's talk about how great you look right now. You're having a great hair day, the lighting is just right, and your skin is positively glowing! Sounds like the perfect time to take a new profile picture!! While you're in there, notice how much better the photo cropping process is once you've taken your AMAZING selfie. It'll help you know just what will or won't be in the final cut, so you can be sure you cropped out all of Gary from marketing, who accidentally photobombed you by yawning in the background.
· After you've taken your fantastic new profile picture, notice how you can still tell what time it is in the app! There was some funny business going on with some phones where the status bar on the top of the screen would disappear after taking a picture, but no longer!
· Seeing what time it is, you might realize that you have to send out a message to one of your groups. We fixed an issue where a select few people couldn't tap on a group to send a message from the Groups screen, so you should be good to go now.
· If you realize one of your friends didn't get your group message because they haven't signed up for Red e App yet, they'll find that they get to type their email in twice when creating their account. This should help cut down on accidental typos and make it easier for our support team to help out if they have any issues in the future.

Version 4.0.4 update notes not found.
.
.
.
Just kidding! That's a little HTTP status code humor for you, just in case you aren't a gigantic nerd like we are. Anyway, we fixed an issue where some messages would only partially display on older iPhones. While we were at it, we also jazzed up read receipts for group messages so you can quickly tell how many of your recipients have read your messages.
4.0.3 2018-11-29
Welcome to the "Relating Bug Fixes To Obscure Movie References" update notes for Red e App!

· There was an issue with being able to edit members of groups that you had created. The app was behaving a bit too much like an overzealous principal, keeping a group of misfits stuck in a Saturday detention. Hopefully the people who were stuck in the group formed a cool club where they could eat breakfast together.
· If you typed a longer message in a conversation with lots of messages in the history, it would jump around seemingly sporadically. So we hired a Paladin to keep the "Jumpers" in line. I mean, are there any roles that Sam Jackson can't pull off? Hayden Christensen on the other hand... well, let's just say, "he doesn't like sand."
· Sometimes, push notifications would disappear from Notification Center shortly after they appeared, which was due to some code that manually set the badge count for the app. So we just decided, "we don't need no stinking badges!" But then our boss said we had to keep them, so we just fixed the bug instead.
4.0.2 2018-11-16
· We realized that the app was using a chunk of code to handle refreshing lists that was written way back in the time of dinosaurs, so we went ahead and updated that. I mean, were smartphones even a thing back in 2012???
· If you don't have internet connectivity, OMG HOW CAN YOU SURVIVE? But in the event that you *do* survive, the app should no longer absolutely freak out when you open up the side menu.
4.0.1 2018-11-12
In case you didn't catch the update from last week, we changed a LOT of stuff that happens under the hood. We found a few little issues with the overhaul, so this version should patch up some of the holes that showed up since then.
4.0.0 2018-11-05
The only thing that's new in version 4.0 is EVERYTHING (well, at least under the hood). We did some pretty major overhauls to how everything works, and you might even notice some updates to how things look! There are a ton of new features, like being able to use TouchID or FaceID to log in, and a whole host of speed and reliability upgrades. We encourage you to poke around and discover everything that Red e App has to offer!
3.6.5 2018-10-11
Squished a tiny little bug that made it look like your notification sound kept defaulting back to 'None' even though it totally didn't.
3.6.4 2018-09-26
· We fixed an issue where the app really REALLY wouldn't play a sound when you had 'None' selected as your push notification sound. It was so adamant that it would not play a sound, that the app just decided to shut itself down when you got a new message. So, technically, it wasn't playing a notification sound. But we decided it would be a bit better if the app kept running after not playing a sound. Sound good?
3.6.3 2018-06-04
· Playing videos in your messages will play the audio as well, even if you have your physical mute switch toggled on. Now, we know what you're thinking, "If my mute switch is on, why would you play audio??" Well, since you're actively tapping on a video to play it, we're just kind of assuming that you want to actually be able to hear it as well. Also, like, every other app does it, and we wanted to hang with the cool kids.
· We updated some fonts in the app to give a more consistent and familiar look and feel, because nothing takes you out of the moment and tosses you out into the cold like an inconsistent, unfamiliar font.
3.6.2 2018-05-04
This update fixes an issue some people were having with resetting their passwords. I was trying to come up with something fun or witty related to that, but I was struggling to find inspiration and the developers told me it was more important to get this fix out there for you than to spend a few weeks “finding myself” just to give you something exciting to read.
3.6.1 2018-04-16
We fixed an issue with being able to take pictures on an iPad. I know it's not the biggest and best app update in the world, but it's better than nothing! If you're feeling left out because you aren't using an iPad and therefore this update doesn't really do anything for you, just count yourself fortunate that you're not having to take pictures with an iPad!! Let's just say it's a clumsy process, at best.
3.6.0 2018-03-06
Can you tell me how to get, how to get the newest Red e App update?

· Today's update is brought to you by the letter X! We've made some updates to keep things looking and working well for those of you with the iPhone X.
· There were some unique cases where cached cookies could cause some issues, but thankfully a friendly blue monster showed up who LOVES eating cookies. He made a bit of a mess (crumbs EVERYWHERE!) but he definitely took care of our cookie problem!
· The number of the day is... NINE! Going forward, we are only supporting iOS 9 and higher, as this update marks the official end date of our support for iOS 8! Hooray! But really, the time had come. If you need help updating your iOS to continue using new versions of Red e App, please call Red e App support - we're happy to help!
3.5.7 2018-01-31
· Red e App took a trip around the world and picked up 4 new languages along the way. You can now enjoy the app in Japanese, Korean, Russian, or Vietnamese!
· We bought a fancy new camera for our trip that takes absurdly high-quality images, but these pictures were causing issues when sent as message attachments, so we fixed that.
· After getting lost a few times, we realized the importance of good directions. The main screen of the app is now more descriptive about where to go!
3.5.6 2017-12-14
· We added some new information about how you can log in with your email address that you used when you created your account, helping you get in your account and see your messages faster in case you forgot your username.
· We also fixed an occasional issue with the width of text messages on iOS 11 devices that could cut off the last few pixels of a message. Now you can tell if your friend used proper punctuation or not!
3.5.5 2017-08-05
Minor updates to help text in the app.
3.5.4 2017-07-31
What changed? Well, from your point of view, nothing! Just some changes to what goes on under the hood to make sure everything keeps running smoothly.
3.5.3 2017-06-01
We fixed an issue with the way a few special characters were being encoded so that they no longer look like gibberish.
3.5.2 2017-03-02
Well first, what’s new with you? We always talk about us, hope that isn't too rude. Let’s talk about you for a moment. How ya doing? Good? Great.

Anyways, we tightened up how you edit your username so you can’t accidentally save an invalid one, which could have world-shattering repercussions. Also, we threw in an encouraging message to help you update your app in case the version you’re using is super old and no longer supported.
3.5.1 2017-01-19
· There was some weird stuff going on with the camera in the event that you were incredibly indecisive, so we decided to fix it (after much wavering). Basically, if you took a photo with your camera and confirmed that you wanted to use it, but then changed your mind and went back to take a new picture, the app would freeze up. I think the moral of the story is that we all need to be more decisive. Make a decision and stick with it- we'll go ahead and add that to our 2017 resolutions.
· We added the ability for shift group approvers to approve (or deny) shift requests directly in the shifts feed. This will make it easier to sort through shift requests if you get a bunch at the same time. This sounds like a great way to reduce clutter, which we're also putting on our resolutions list!
· Everyone seems to be making resolutions to eat better and work out more, so we're going to go ahead and add those to our resolutions list as well. What does this have to do with the app? Absolutely nothing!

3.4.3 2016-12-22
What’s new in version 3.4.3: lots of subtle changes. Can you spot all of the subtle differences? I bet you can’t. No actually, you can’t. There are no visible changes you will notice. That’s how subtle they are. Enjoy!
3.4.2 2016-12-08
We've decided to coin this release of the app as "Squashing Little Bugs-mageddon!" There were a lot of seemingly small issues with the app that needed to be addressed, so we finally got around to fine-tuning those little nuisances for a nicer, cleaner experience.

· You can no longer send completely empty messages, no matter how much you may want to.
· Messages were occasionally being squished into an unnecessarily small width (which reminds me of putting on my pants ever since Thanksgiving, for some reason).
· Those shiny new avatars with initials are now showing up in a network directory search.
· There were some redundant password rules when creating an account or changing your password, but not anymore!
· While images could be viewed just fine in a message's details, they will now also show up just fine when viewing a conversation.
· The description of why we need access to your camera or photos (which is only when you try to take or attach a photo) is now appropriately translated.
· For our friends with the most recent iOS version, the Bio field in your profile would get a little shy and hide itself sometimes. We gave it some extra confidence so it should stick around no matter what!
· The shape of a group's avatar when editing the group was slightly off. It was kind of a rounded square instead of a circle. This was, without argument, the smallest and most insignificant bug to fix. But we decided that you're worth it, so we fixed it anyway!
