Compact and affordable, the Wildlife Acoustics Song Meter Mini and Song Meter Mini Bat wildlife recorders give researchers a simple and affordable, yet powerful tool for recording bats, birds, frogs, and other vocal wildlife. The Song Meter Micro is our smallest, lightest, and most affordable wildlife audio recorder.

+Adds a Trigger ratio setting (estimated percentage of time triggered) to the “Estimate battery and card life” calculator for ultrasonic recordings. Based on past recordings or expected activity, you can now change this setting to better estimate card and battery life. +Adds a new “Recording mode” setting for acoustic recordings with choices of “Highest quality” which is the default and existing mode and a new “Low-power” mode for up to 20-40% longer battery run time at default settings, but with a weaker anti-alias filter that could result in noisier recordings (see user guide for details).

+Adds the ability for the Mini Bat to record non-triggered. In this state, recording will not be based on trigger events but will constantly record up the "Maximum recording length" setting (with a range of 1 to 30 minutes). This can be turned on in the Ultrasonic settings of the app.+

+We have realized that the app just does not get enough info from the recorder to always correctly show the “REMAINING RECORDING PERIOD TIME” for very complex schedules so we are simplifying the behavior. if one of the built-in schedules is being used, the field will show the countdown (or continuous), as previously. Otherwise, the entire field (title and countdown) is replaced with "Currently Recording”. If it is not currently recording, then “START TIME OF NEXT RECORDING” is shown, as previously.
