6.4.2
2024-03-19
This update unclogs the pipeline between our Apple Watch app and Apple Health.
6.1.1
2023-11-10
Things are happening here! The biggest news is that we added mobility exercises as a separate category in the app, and filled the category with more than fifty exercises. Missing one? You can add your own!
Also:
- PB for exercises using the time variable.
- New PB system for bodyweight exercises, which prioritizes reps instead of total weight.
- Opt-in to share your data anonymously with researchers.
- Premium: The quick stats on sets will show a small warning symbol if you haven’t entered a 1RM for the exercise.
- Swipe to show/hide set comments.
- Live activity follows exercise-specific resting times.
- We made protein bars out of a bunch of bugs.
Apple Watch:
- The timer can also count up.
- Set comments are displayed.
- Access the media player from the set view.

Live activities are here! From now on you’ll be able to see information about your active workouts on your phone’s lock screen and in the dynamic island.
And our first widgets! Search for StrengthLog on the widget screen, and you’ll find two widgets. One for viewing and following your training goals outside of the app, one for the monthly training challenges.
We’re also making your 1RMs for workouts and training programs editable outside of active workouts now! Go to the stats page to add or edit your 1RMs. (Keep in mind that a 1RM is the maximum weight you can lift right now (and want to use in percentage-based workouts), not necessarily the same as your PRs.
On the body measurements page, we’ve added a fat-free mass calculation, for those of you who know your body fat percentage.
New goal type: estimated 1RM.
In addition to this, this version includes a mega bonk of various bugs.
5.12.1
2023-08-30
Do you have a coach that sends you workouts and programs through StrengthLog Coach (coach.strengthlog.com)? We’ve designed a new startscreen widget with everything you get from your coach!
This version also includes an invisible farewell to a swarm of bugs that couldn’t behave.
5.11.1

Help us make the watch app even better by sending your feedback to app@strengthlog.com.

• It’s now possible to use “copy from last workout” for special sets.
• We turned on the biggest fan we could find and blew away a swarm of bugs.

Bug fixes! Here are bug fixes! Come and buy your bug fixes from us! (But they are free, we are not very talented capitalists.)
The update also includes:
* Turn on “Active Energy” inside Apple Health
* Change exercises and move sets in rounds
* Improved RPE
* Improved stats for primary and secondary muscles
5.10.3
2023-04-21
This version may be small, but it contains something you'll love: From now on, secondary working muscle groups are counted in the training volume stats! In short, we have chosen to define one set for a primarily working muscle as exactly one set (just as before), while a set for a secondary working muscle will count as half a set. Check out the change on the statistics page!
The update also includes a couple of important bug fixes.
5.10.2
2023-04-20
Oh yeah, now we send the new calculation of calories burned during your workout to Apple Health. Go to the settings page in the app to activate it.
From now on you can also pause active workouts, for example if you train continuously during the day or take longer breaks at the gym.
Also:
- Workout name is visible in the exercise history.
- Updated formula for estimated 1RM when using RPE.
- The time estimate for workouts includes the entered time in endurance exercises.
5.10.1
2023-04-09
We sent positive thoughts out into the universe and got rid of a bunch of stubborn bugs, including an annoying one for anyone lifting with pounds instead of kilograms.
Also:
- You can now edit planned workouts directly from the calendar view in the training log.
- We removed the character limit from exercise comments. Now you can write entire novels there!

Achievements are here! Log workouts to reach small and big milestones in your training. Tap your profile on the startscreen to view all achievements.
This version includes another new, major feature: Energy expenditure during your workouts! Please note that this is not an exact science, but we've tried our best to find a decent algorithm for calculating how many calories a strength workout burns. Don't want to see it? Turn it off on the settings page.
5.8.2
2023-02-17
We need to convert your data! The update includes important changes to the database, that will enable us to continue improving the app. It also means that we need to convert your data to the new format, which will be done at startup once you've updated to this version. It shouldn't take long, but please contact us at app@strengthlog.com if it does or if you notice something weird afterwards. Thanks for your patience!
Also:
- Tap the timer to enter the new focus mode.
- Bug fixes.
5.4.2

This app is closing in on its fourth birthday, and it's time for a small change. With this version we'll swap out the old app icon on your homescreen to our new mascot.
Let's call it Oxis, for now. A strong, gentle giant looking after your gains. We'll be adding more versions of the icon in the future, for you to choose from. Or maybe earn the right to use. Who knows ...
This version also includes bug fixes.

Look at this update as an amuse-bouche. It's not a main course, but it's mouthwateringly delicious:

- Plan workouts directly from the training log or your templates.
- Overwrite program workouts you've built yourself, with the changes you do when training them.
- Edit your records directly from the record list.
- Improved drag-and-drop when moving exercise blocks.
- Improved text export of workouts.
- Upload old workouts to Apple Health.
4.5.1
2021-12-21
Two long-awaited features in this update! The first one is yearly records, to make it easier for you to track your progress during the year even when you're not hitting PRs. The second one is exercise comments, making it possible for you to write down machine settings or cues for any given exercise, seeing the comment any time you add that exercise to your workout.
Also:
- Create account with Google Sign-In
- Average weight – new statistics category!
- Improvements to the program builder
4.2

Life hacks! That's what this update is all about. Small but useful features, such as copying programs into the program builder, merging two exercise blocks into one superset, duplicating an existing exercise to create a new one, and unfollowing programs from the home screen. Enjoy!

Also check out the new sharing images, available when you’ve saved a workout to your training log.
