Our newest feature, Live Wind, brings you real-time wind data observations so you can plan your surf for optimal wind conditions. Premium users now have access to:
- Observations on hundreds of spots. On a spot page, under the wind report, look for the Live Wind label and icon—plus a red dot that indicates the wind is being recorded in real-time—and click the arrow to get more details. If it’s not at your favorite spot yet, don’t worry, we’re adding more spots regularly.
- Map and graph visuals. Watch the wind direction change on the map as you scrub through the graph, and see when it goes from offshore (above the axis) to onshore (below the axis).
- More accurate forecasts. At spots with Live Wind, observations are factored into the forecast for the rest of the day, making them more representative of current conditions than model forecasts.

We appreciate your feedback on the reimagined Surfline app as we continue to make improvements. In our latest update, we've increased startup time speed (by a lot) to help you get to cams and reports faster. We've also made some changes to the cam carousels:
- When you re-select favorites via the favorites button, you won't get scrolled all the way back to the start of your favorites.
- For nearby spots, the current spot you're looking at will be immediately visible, with nearby spots directly to the north and south positioned on either side.
- We fixed the bugs that were slowing down/stopping streams from loading when you select a new spot.

- We added forecast graphs that cover the rest of the current day in the Live tab so you know how the surf, wind, and tide are changing throughout the day.
