NPR One's audio player now better explains what you're hearing. The player now displays the listening context (NPR One Mix, Live from your station, etc) and, in many auto-play situations, why the app is playing you a certain piece of audio (such as because you enjoy a certain podcast).

Say goodbye to the Listen tab and say hello to our new audio player.

The new mini-player at the bottom of the screen makes it easy to see what’s playing wherever you are in the app. Want more audio controls or more information about the current audio? Just tap or swipe up on the mini-player to see the full player. It’s not Dark Mode, but the player’s new dark background should make listening easier on the eyes, especially at night.

Other features include:
* 15 second skip ahead button (by popular demand!)
* Images for the latest stories
* Easier access to Listening History, audio transcripts, and related articles
* New AirPlay controls (we’ve temporarily removed Google Cast from the player for a tune up)

Please send us any questions or feedback via our quick form at http://help.npr.org.
