- Parent does not need to create an account or download the app
- All you need is the parent’s phone number
- Whenever you mark a student e.g. as “Absent - unexcused” on the app, the parent will get a text message
- The text will come from a new phone number so it won’t use your phone’s data plan
- You can personalize the text message, e.g. to include a way to contact you back

Notes:
- The grading symbols can be any letter or number system, mapped to percentages per trading item
- You can have as many grading symbols as you wish (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B- etc.)
- The app will calculate the weighted % for each student and assign the grading symbol as the “Overall grade”
- As the periods can overlap, you can show the “Overall grade” for each period for each student
