The free movies row on home screen sort has been updated to a combination of Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB rating so you can find the best movies to watch.

Lots of bug and crash fixes including:
- some users who couldn't press the done button on VOD selection on their iPads.
- tapping More Cast & Crew in detail view occasionally crashed is now fixed
- Also On in the detail view of a show sometimes crashed and is now fixed

Search now has the ability to sort by Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB rating. Just tap the circle in the bottom right after you've done a search.
We've done lots of work to reduce the app's memory footprint and make it work on low bandwidth and intermittent connections, which hopefully means fewer crashes and better performance!
You can open the programme detail view even if you have no internet assuming that you've at least opened the app once before to download the listings.
The multiple screenshots in detail view only download if you have the bandwidth.
Free movies on the home screen now sorts by Rotten Tomatoes and then IMDB so better movies are displayed first.

A new Parent Guide when you tap on the detail view of movies, which displays the positive and negative (language, violence, drinking and sex) content.

Other fixes:
Time on TV has been moved up the detail view - no need to scroll down
You can tap the IMDB rating in detail view to open the IMDB site
Cast on movies were sometimes missing or in the incorrect order
Advanced search when pressing the plus button is no longer blank
The home screen video should now mixes with your music and pressing the mute button no longer pauses the video
Love and hate have been removed - they weren't used much and were only on movies
Tapping to watch a movie on YouTube from detail view crash has been fixed
Share option not working has been fixed
Icons for movies, watch list, alert, share and calendar have been updated on iOS 13
Weird flicker behind menu on detail view when scrolling has been fixed and long titles no longer overlap the close button

Other enhancements:
Awards and posters have been added in detail view for movies
British Board of Film Classification i.e. U, PG, 12, 12A, 15 & 18 added to movies
Age appropriateness for movies for under 18-year-olds from Common Sense Media added to the detail view
A new option below the home video to jump between today's video, tomorrow's video, and our special subscriber weekly highlight video
Detail views are now a popup that you can swipe down to dismiss. As does the YouTube view.
Search autocomplete now stays consistent with the order as you type.
Highlights at the top of grid and now/next views now let you add to watch list directly
Highlights now show the next image so you know you can scroll them and they appear smaller on the iPad
YouTube movies open within our app rather than going to the YouTube web site
Subscribers can disable highlights
New option in settings to disable image download to reduce bandwidth
Tapping on channel logos to full channel listings should better align with the currently airing show
New subscribe popup that appears the first few times you use the app and then every 8 times afterward. Subscribe is also available in settings.
Titles on detail view are now two lines to better accommodate long programme titles.

This version has a bug fix that caused the occasional detail views of films to crash
In our effort to improve our user experience we've removed an advertising provider that delivered ads with difficult to find close buttons.

Fixes an issue where adding shows from live TV to your watch list didn't appear on the watch list tab.

A new row of Live News on the home screen.
We've now allowed you to add any programme on TV to your watch list. You can just long-press on them in the grid or press the watch list icon. When you add a show all individual episodes of that show will be highlighted with a star in the grid and appear in a new 'Watch list on TV' row on the home screen and on the watch list tab.
Episode guide for most shows - it might take some time to load if there are 1,000s of episodes.
IMDB ratings appear for films on the home and detail screen
Metacritic ratings for films appear on the detail screen
New Trivia and Quotes section for films
Bugfix for occasional missing/blank row on the home screen
Sometimes season and episode were missing from detail view and season incorrectly had comma when it should have been the year i.e. Season 2020.

A user requested that we allow you to tap the headings so you can scroll 'Upcoming Films' full screen instead of just sideways. So we've done just that! You can now tap any of the headings on the home screen to get a full-screen view.

What's on TV Now and Next, New Series starting, Upcoming Soaps, Catchup TV and Movies on iPlayer have been added to the home screen
Search now displays all episodes of a show rather than just the first one
More links to catchup providers like All4, My5, iPlayer and ITV Hub have been added
The sort order has been updated on Netflix, Amazon and YouTube home screen rows
Login options have been removed. All syncs across devices are now done via iCloud.
Episode title and programme title were sometimes switched on the home screen
(0000) was appearing incorrectly under some show descriptions

New future alerts row on the home screen tracks everything you add an alert for
Watch list and seen only work for movies now - it wasn’t always clear if you were putting an episode or the whole show in these lists so we simplified just to movies now and you can track everything else by setting alerts
Fix for crash on sort channels on iOS 12
Fixes the first two navigation buttons not being tappable when you rotate your phone to landscape for iPhone X
Daily video autoplay switch now appears allowing you to stop the video from playing each time you launch the app
Once paused, the daily highlights video should remain paused when you move between screens
You can now easily replay the daily highlights video if it is finished
You should be able to set alerts and tap on any of the shows in the daily video and it should show if an alert has previously been set
The daily video should no longer show the alert option for shows in the past
Programmes you set alerts for should appear in the grid with icons
We removed location and photo permissions

Try our all-new iMessage sticker pack. Just install the update and open iMessage. At the bottom, you should see the TVGuide.co.uk heart icon with the stickers. If not scroll to the right, and tap more to add TVGuide.co.uk sticker pack. And remember you can always drag it to the front of your message apps so you can get to it easily. Lovely Jubbly!

Lots of updates in this version!
There are new today widgets which you can add to your widget screen for now & next as well as daily tv recommendations. You can access your widgets by right-swiping on your phone's home screen and scroll to the bottom and press edit to add our new widgets.
We've updated settings to be shared using iCloud so now your channel selection, channel order, watch list, seen list and home screen order should automatically synchronize across your iPhone and iPad. You shouldn't need to do anything other than to make sure you are logged in to the same iCloud account on all your devices. If you don't want to sync then download the black icon version of the TV Guide app from the app store.
The Apple Watch app now displays the first 25 channels in your iPhone app selection.
You have to launch the iPhone app once before you launch the watch app or the Now & Next extension to see your customized channels appearing otherwise you will just get 5 default channels.
