- دُعاءُ الجَوْشَن الكبير هو دعاءٌ عظيمٌ مَرْوِيٌّ عَنِ السَّجَّادِ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِينَ 2 ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ 3 ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليهم السلام ) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) 4 نَزَلَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السَّلام ) عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) وَ هُوَ فِي بَعْضِ غَزَوَاتِهِ وَ قَدِ اشْتَدَّتْ ، وَ عَلَيْهِ جَوْشَنٌ ثَقِيلٌ آلَمَهُ ، فَدَعَا اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، فَهَبَطَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السَّلام )

- دعاء الجوشن الصغير هو دعاء منقول عن الإمام الكاظم عليه السلام، ويوصى بقراءته لدفع شر العدو والحفظ من البلاء. كما يعد كتابة القرآن كله ودعاء الجوشن الكبير والجوشن الصغير على الكفن من المستحبات.
