About AlTaglio 2
Change the colors of your photos without altering their tonal range with this innovative iOS app.
AlTaglio brings to photo processing on iOS, for the first time ever, a technique used by painters called Gamut Masking.
Since it works in the HSLuv colorspace, unlike other colorspaces like RGB, it can modify the colors of an image without altering its perceptual lightness, thus preserving the original tonal range.
AlTaglio is free to use with an In-App purchase which lets you duplicate and export your edited images.
- Color Splash: Pick colors with a simple gesture to highlight or change them.
- Saturation: Increase or decrease the saturation without modifying the tonal range.
- Contrast: Modify the contrast of the light values while maintaining the hues.
- Lightness: Increase or decrease the values of the image without altering the colors.

This is a big one! After a long time in the making I've updated AlTaglio with lots of new features that take advantage of the HSLuv color mode. As opposed to other color modes like RGB, this color mode allows AlTaglio 2 to modify the colors of an image while mantaining its perceptual lightness, or vice versa, to modify its light values without changing the perceptual hue.
