This release introduces Carbon Dividend – a new way of optimizing your charging through ChargeForward.
Carbon Dividend uses carbon emissions data to schedule your charging during times when emissions are low. The Carbon Dividend program allows almost every BMW EV driver in the US to participate in smart charging and lower CO2 emissions from EV charging.

The Charge Plan is an optimized charging schedule based on certain preferences, departure time, and information from the utility about the best times to charge. This feature provides a timeline of the smart charging session to help understand when the vehicle will be charging or paused. It is only visible when the vehicle is optimizing.
