About CFE Tools

Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) is a team-based approach between local CASA programs and CPS/SSCC’s, to engage, find and work with family members and fictive kin in the creation and development of a lifetime network for young people in the foster care system. Some of the tools of CFE are presented in this app include Mobility Mapping, Connectedness Map, Ecomap, Circles of Trust, Tree of Life, and more! We hope that you will find these CFE tools easier to use and more accessible to young people and that ultimately more connections will be built.

This app is available for free download in Texas by those working for or volunteering with (CASA), CPS/SSCC’s involved and trained in CFE. This app is intended to be used in person by a CASA staff, volunteer or CPS/SSCC staff with a child, youth, parent or family member, for the purposes and goals of Collaborative Family Engagement. and is designed to be used in conjunction with other CFE work and is not a standalone delivery method.
