Master 5000 Mandarin Chinese words in a fun and interactive way!
Chinese Character Game HSK contains 5000 words across 6 levels of difficulty. These words and levels are based on the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), the global standard in measuring your Chinese language abilities. These are the most important words for gaining fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
Simply tap the correct Chinese characters (represented in your choice of 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4 grid) that form the provided word, which is shown in English and/or Pinyin (as per your liking). If you're not sure what the next character is, tap the Hint button to eliminate half of the characters, or tap the Gimme button to give you a free character. This game is fun and relaxing, and unlike flashcards, really makes you think and use your recognition and recall memory!
Chinese Character Game HSK supports both simplified (Chinese mainland) and traditional (Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau) Chinese characters.
Chinese Character Game HSK will improve all aspects of your Chinese, including oral, reading, writing, and listening, as the pronunciation of all words is also provided. Your Chinese skill will improve each time you use the app. For students planning to take the HSK test, this app has you covered. Words are based on the HSK1, HSK2, HSK3, HSK4, HSK5, and HSK6 standardized testing exam syllabus.
The recall and recognition process is much more efficient than standard flash cards, as this game not only makes you think about what the word is, but the shape and make up of each individual character. In addition, as you search the 4x4 grid for the correct characters, you are increasing your exposure to Chinese characters and effectively reading up to 16 characters for each word, and some characters you will likely scan multiple times.
