About Critical Care MCQ
GO THE EXTRA MILE (GTEM) is an online platform for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in intensive care medicine.
ORGANIZATION
GTEM has over 2300 unique questions. These include MCQ (With single or multiple answers), True-False, and Matching the choices from two columns. The questions are organized in the form of TESTS. The tests from related topics are bundled together in the form of CHAPTERS. Several chapters are compiled to create an OMNIBUS. [For example, tests on CRRT, Electrolyte imbalance and acid-base abnormalities are clubbed to form the chapter on Renal Medicine. A compilation of chapters – e.g. Renal, Cardiology, ICU procedures, Monitoring, etc. make up an Omnibus).

GO THE EXTRA MILE FOR NURSES - Intensive Care, as a speciality, wouldn’t exist if not for the hard-working and learned nurses. The nurses spend the most time with the patient and are often the first ones to pick up subtle changes in their clinical status. Go The Extra Mile offers questions for the nurses working in intensive care. Many of these questions focus on the interpretation of monitor waveforms (e.g., ventilator, ECG and pacing, capnogram, pulmonary artery catheter or central venous pressure waveform, etc.) or the setup of complex systems like continuous renal replacement therapy. The passing mark for these tests is set at 70%. Upon passing the test, a certificate of completion will be emailed. The certificate states the approximate time required to complete each test, including the review of feedback.

Critical Care MCQ by Go the Extra Mile now has an expanded questions bank of over 2650 MCQ, the largest in the world to our knowledge. The appearance of the dashboard has changed. Each chapter now opens in its own drop-down menu to reduce the loading time. EDIC Omnibus has over 100 tests with 30 MCQs per test. The result of the test is available immediately upon completion of the test. Full feedback is provided at the end of the test. Learn-X has the same MCQ as EDIC Omnibus, but packed in over 220 bite-size tests with 10 MCQ each. The answer to each MCQ is provided immediately after completing a question, and again at the end of the test. New tests include case base scenarios on common ICU presentations like Asthma and video-based MCQ for echocardiography.
